For those of you who know..window's vista is out. Hoorah and all. So i just got my laptop from futureshop today and it came with windows vista. Now i used to do a lot of uxtheme customizing on my old computer which used XP. I assumed that it would work for vista..but i guess i was wrong so i downloaded my old patch to patch over uxtheme...and well i patched it...then my vista appearance changed into the classic windows 98 style. I freaked out a bit and tried to fix it but nothing worked. So i found this forum (i know..i shouldnt have trusted that forum) and they said that there was a new patch out that worked for vista..so i followed the instructions for the vista uxtheme patch. Everything seemed fine until i rebooted. Then thats where the problem came in. right in the log in screen (when i typed in my passwords and such) it said "Uxtheme.dll cannot be found, installing might help with the problem" k not the exact words but w/e thats not the point. So i thought "oh damn im in deep ****" but i thought it would be fine once i reinstalled it. Thats the problem, i cant. The whole screen is black..its like a screen that wouldnt load.. i waited for like 20 mins and nothing happened..everything else was fine..like log in screen wise. So now im kind of f*cked..
I might go exchange it tomorow..In the meanwhile i really hope someone can help me.
