I'm getting my first car, i want a toyota but i was wondering is a 2000 celica worth it, or should i just get a camry like my mom has. the celica looks nice in my opinion but other than that what are the opinions about it

94000 miles.
asking price 8500...what should i offer? anyh ideas

and have you SEEN the latest camrys? they look like freaking sex on wheels. like the sticky posted @the top of the boards... when asking what car you should get, ALWAYS think about what you plan to use it for. what's the point of getting a daihatsu copen if you want to set land records? or vice versa, why get a bugatti veyron when you want the best MPG daily driver?

im lebanese and if you know any lebanese ppl they are the biggest showoffs on earth
as shallow as it is, i don't mind admitting that i want something that looks nice as well. its a 2000 by the way

i drive a 2000 celica gt-s right now. its not a bad car but not the best either. its good on fuel and fun to drive. If your looking for a quiet, smooth car, stick with the camry. The best model would be the 00-01 GT-S 6 speed, because it has the 8400RPM cut-off unlike 02+ which has 7800RPM cut off. but if you dont care about performance, any will do. Celicas do have a reputation as being a chick car, but who cares? If you like it, then its all good. I have an Integra and that has somewhat of a chick car reputation but it is sporty and has decent gas mileage.

If you care what other people think, especially your friends, then go for something in the lines of a nicely equipped Camry. Something sportier looking? Solara.

8500 isnt that bad of a price., you might be able to go lower..it does have a lot of miles on it. and before you actually go and buy the car, test drive it first. goodluck!

i drive an '01 celica.
its pretty fun driving it. good gas mileage, good handling.
down side - its a pretty compact car, so if youre going to have passengers, might be a bit uncomfortable for them, esp guys since they tend to be bigger/taller. i have no problem bcos im only 5'1" .
its a pretty good "first car"..but since ive had it for 5+ years, its time for me to move on & upgrade my ride

my friend has a celica, man whenever i use to ride with him and our friends to get lunch, i always get stuck in the back. the back is really compact, hence I used the term "use" to ride with him.
