So you want to put in credits?
Or do you want to convert the videos to something you can share? What format do you want?
If you want to make the videos a bit smaller and easier to work with http://divx.ppccool.com/ is pretty easy to use and is free.
If you want to make like MPGs or vcds then get TMPGenc (also free)
If you come up with some obscure file type get Super... (linked at the top or just google it)
For credits people usually use Windows movie maker to import the clips then edit in credits and text.

Use any of the variants of Virtualdub (like Virtualdub-MPEG2 for example) with the Logo filter made by Donald Graft. Both Virtualdub-MPEG2 and Donald's Logo filter are free and can easily be googled. Virtualdub has its own built-in Logo filter... but it sux. When you download the filter, simply unzip the files into Virtualdub's plugins folder. It will be available for use the next time you run Virtualdub.
You basically need to re-encode the video. That's the only way to "watermark" the videos with your name/message/image/whatever. During the encoding process the logo filter will be used to do the watermarking. The logo you use will basically be a GIF image file and, if it's your name that you want to watermark, you'll want to make it using only one color in photoshop or whatever. The reason it should be in only one color is so that you can tell the logo program to only display that color and let all the video behind your name show through.
Everything will be clear once you start using it but that's the basics of it. Have fun... just don't go stealing other people's work and claiming credit for it.
