Cats Introduction
The new group, Cats, is a second generation band from the group that made the Gayo [Korean Music]
industry known as the color red and helped skyrocket the career of Bae Seul Gi to stardom.
The first group was known as The Reds, whose original members were Oh Seung Eun,
Chu So Young and Bae Seul Gi.

In January 2007 at Samsung Coex Mall, the public audition took place with over/SIZ 3000 people
competing to be a part of the Cats. The 4-group member Cats, Park Soo Jung [22], Han So Yoo [20],
Soon Shim [23] and Kim Ji Hye [20], showcased their vocal, dance, and acting abilities through
their auditions. They received the acknowledgment from sponsors who felt that they surpassed
people who train for over 3 years.

The group's name is after the musical "Cats" because they have exceptional live singing and dancing
abilities that it seems like the audience is watching a musical when they perform, which is
their company's group concept for them.

The group, Cats, had their first broadcast on Jan 27, 28 on MBC Music Core and SBS Inkigayo,
respectively, and are seen as the 2nd Finkl from the public, and are receiving a warm response
and lots of interest.

Controversies
Before Kim Ji Hye debuted as a member of Cats, she caused many Super Junior fans
to be angry when she stated that she wanted to play around with two of the members of Super Junior,
[Dong Hae and Kang In] while on the set of Love Letter. Their large fan base was offended by her comment,
and as a result she was reported to have many anti fans. Most of the anti fans did not realize the show
was based on a script.

Compared to the Red 1, the Red 2 audition was opened to the public.

Members for the Red 2 are Han So Yoo (20), Park Soo Jung (22, on the left), and Soon Shim (23). They will announce the record in August. And their cd is to have about 10 songs (I think) and some solo songs as well. Their vocals are said to be "superior".
