Load Video File From Camcorder To Pc? How help

I was reading the book that teaches us how to upload... i am trying to upload the video file from the camcord to my PC.. but it doenst work... the camcorder only came with a USB.. is there any other way to uplaod it besides buying a DV? Thanks
