Digital Cameras Help me choose one :)

I want to buy a digital camera and I need help choosing one. I've never bought one before. Which one would you guys recommend? I was thinking of getting a Sony Cybershot or Canon Powershot. If you could help me, thank you!

Can't really go wrong nowadays; they're all good.

However, I'd recommend against Sony (proprietary junk/standards = bad)
