A Introduction Guild to Goonzu

( w00t.gif someone has an ad promoting DD for goonzu; lol ) this is in front of hanyang

Goonzu is the second game I have ever played, Maple Story being the first. I only played Maple Story for 1 week because it got tedious and there was little sense of community (lonely XD). Anyways, as I was looking for a new game to play, I found Goonzu. It has a system of mentors, town, manufacture, guilds, and a free market that has made the game more exciting than MS. Comparing the "cuteness" thought, it's behind MS but is so much more addicting.

Starting guild:
Upon beginning the game, you will automatically see a quest box of the lower right hand corner. The npc, Sarah, will give you the basic of the game. She will teach you the basic of the bank, market, and post office. There in Hanyang, the capital of the server, is where you begin your journey. A hint to nubs, while you are doing her quest, go ahead and look for Siegfried and Giselle to begin your battle and material quest. He is just on north of Sarah and she is east of Sarah. These two quest correspond with one another so do NOT sell your drops in the market! These quest should take you to lvl 3x. After these, you can do Jack's quest.

Weapons:
(reminder, western and easter character uses different armor/weapon as they lvl higher)

Sword: The sword is the weakest weapon in the game. However, it is fast and swordsmen do not have to divide among her stats. The sword uses mostly strength. Armor also require str so if you use the sword, you can wear high lvl armor. Add agi (accuracy) and str as you lvl.

Spear: The spear is stronger than the sword and require str to hold it. Spearmens are able to wear high lvl armor also. Add agi and str as you lvl. The most balance of the weapons.

Axe: The strongest of the non-ranged weapons. However, it is slow in attacking. Add str and agi as you lvl.

Bow: The bow is one of 3 ranged weapons. It require arrows while the sword, spear, and cane does not. It is the weaker of the ranged weapon but has more speed. To hold the bow, you must have high agi and str. These user usually put most stats in agi and little in str to have high vit (hp). Because of this, they usually end up at high levels with a weaker lvl armor. It may not matter because they are attacking far away and will not get damage unless the monster is ranged.

Gun: The gun is stronger than the bow but is slower in turn. Require agi and str to hold. (same situation w/ armor as bow)

Cane: The cane is the most powerful of all the weapons. However, it has the same problem with armor as the other ranged weapons. Also, because you need MP to use it, it needs constant MP potions (MP pots are almost 3 times the prices of Hp pots). It is the MOST expensive weapon to use and the most tedious to lvl. However, in the end, once you are a high lvl, the power is really high! This is only for hard-working people. (lol)

Artisan:
The alternative to being a warrior is to become an artisan/pd (productor). All armor, helmets, belts, shoes, weapons, tools, and food in the game are made by artisan. Depending on the skill, they are able to create all these things and gain experiences and skill as they make more. They than sell these items on the market or in personal shop or trade. However, it is very hard to skill up if you are just an artisan. They require materials to make the items. Usually, these characters are sponsor by their warrior character who collect the materials and transfer it to his pd. The require dex and luck. I advise that your first character is a warrior before creating a pd account!

Luxury/Favorable Items:
These are the golden items for the high player. They are created by skill artisan. If a weapon, the attack is 2-3 times it avg! If armor, the defense is 2-3 times avg! (for food, you get extra food only; lol) Users that carry lux/fav item are known by everyone. The item give off a sparkle glow that can be seen. Depending of the weapon/armor created, they sell for (starting from a lux bamboo) 1 million - 100+ millions!

Enchanting items:
Weapons and armors can be enchanted to make them stronger. Level one enchant only require a copy of the item. Lvl 2-6 require element stones and blessing stones for safety. (note: element stones are inflated in the market right now -,-;; they are 100k for wind/land and 200-300k for fire/water) Fire and water are the desire stones for high lvl because they are more effective for monsters at the high lvl hunting ground. For below lvl 50, using land/wind is fine. Also, it's not needed for a lvl 50 below to make a over lvl 3 enchant. They will have to get a new weapon as they lvl up higher anyway.

Distributing stats:
Based on what you want to do, you distribute the stats different (refer to above). At level 10, you are able to reset your stats if you made a mistake. Further on, you CAN NOT reset it so choose carefully. No class is set, you can be a mix artisan/warrior if you choose but you have to divide your stats based on str/agi/dex/luck. You can also yield more than one weapon but remember, it's better to be the best at one than be avg at two!

Mentors:
These are the people that are suppose to guild you to lvl 20 and beyond. (at level 20, you are no longer consider a new player and you yourself may become a mentor) You may change your mentor is he/she is not helping you like they are suppose to. However, don't change too often because it shows on your profile how many changes you have made. It looks bad if you change too often. (Mentors are suppose to aid you, not be a bank!!)

Materials:
materials can be gain by killing monsters. They are automatically put into your inventory unless it is full. Monster never drop M(marbles, the currency of Goonzu Zeus server), but you can earn M by selling it on the market. Materials dropped by mobs are also used to make items. Rare drops like element stones have a low percent drop rate and are usually only dropped by bosses (high lvl mob, they usually are put as lvl1 mobs but they give off high dmg!)

Summons:
Summons are like pet. You first start off with a evil raccoon summon doll and use it to gain a summon. The summon will follow you and gain exp as you fight. They can also help you fight and have their own hp/MP (weapons and shield to come later, still a developing game). However, its advise that until they are high lvl mobs, you shouldn't let them fight. You can evolve your summon to different lvl of mobs too! You may use an evolve ticket up till fruit brothers. After that, you must use 10 blessing stones for each stage. (blessing stones are really expensive, 200k+ each ~_~)

Mining/Capture/Farming/Fishing/Horse training:
Aside from making items and weapons skills, there are also mining/capture/farming skill. Mining/farming/fishing are known as an afk (away from key) skill. You can let your miner or farmer in the mine or in the farm and they will work to product minerals/foods products instead of hunting it from mobs. To use the mine/farm, you must obtain a lease from a town that has a farm/mine. Capture skill is the skill to capture a monster into a summon doll. The higher the skill, the more chance of capturing a monster and the higher the chances of capturing a higher lvl monster. Horse training is the skill to train horses. The higher the skill, the faster the horse can be trained.

Horse/vixen:
A horse/vixen(fox) can be obtain from a small medal or vixen orb. Small medal sell for about 4-5mil and vixen orb about 20-25mil. They add to stats and make the faster. To open either a small medal or orb, you need at least one horse training skill. If you do not want to waste a skill in that, ask a horse artisan to open for you. To train it, you can do it yourself but it may takes weeks. Your horse will tell you what it wants to eat and you must feed it for its stats to be fully trained. Once it is train, you no longer have to feed it.

Warehouse:
Each town that is occupy will have a warehouse. This is a place to store you items when you run out of space in your inventory. They require you to pay a lease daily. To apply, go to the town and check the price than apply! Once you are approve, you may use your warehouse only in that town. You cannot go to another town warehouse and expect your items to be there. You can apply to as many town as you want or have more than one warehouse lease in one town. Each wh hold 30 different items. (1xxx number of one type of item takes up only one space) The money for the lease is taken directly from your bank. If your bank does not have money and you fail to pay, all your items will be taken away! >,<

Trade Port:
The trade port is a place where you can sell/buy certain items from other servers. You can get rare armor from the korean/japanese goonzu server! This is a bit more complicated. If you want to learn to use it, whisper me~ even some high level player do not know how to use the trade port. The trade port uses the international currency of goonzu which is ACU which makes it confusing.

TOWNS
You can join a town as a resident once you reach the required level. Each town has a different requirement lvl. They are there to help you and form a community. When you join, you receive the town logo next to your username. Here are the component of a town!

Town chief: is the head of the town. He regulate businesses in each town.
Head of market: is the officer of the market. They regulate the market and set tax prices.
Head of warehouse: they accept new warehouse lease and set price for each warehouse.
Head of hunting ground: they usually need to have capture skill to capture summon dolls to put in hunting ground. hunting ground has monster that you can kill and get drops from (the drop rate is suppose to be higher in town's hunting ground than the outside hunting ground)
head of bank/post/ect: same as above, regulate taxes

Siege:
Siege is a time where different town can declare war on one another. Once in siege, residents of opposing towns can fight PvP! To determine the winner, the town that destroy the others guard tower wins. Often, alliances town will aid and summon monster around the tower so that the other town are attacked by the monster and can't attack the towers. The only safe place during that time for the resident of the towns that are weak or do not want to fight is in their town. The opposing town can not go in the other town at that time.

Guilds:
Guilds are like towns but are solely there for the purpose of gvg (guild vs guild). This is when they are teleport into the arena and fight pvp. Whichever guild wins gain GP(guild points) while the other one loses GP. GP are like experience for guild. The more GP a guild has, the higher the lvl of the guild. To create a new guild, you need 1mil and need to pay rent to the Guild House.

GOONZU
This deserve a little bigger font; lol. Goonzu is the "king" of the server. You can run for goonzu if you are lvl 60+, have recommenders, and 10mil to put in campaign. The Goonzu hold a lot of responsible and work with the gm to make the game better. They get to wear the exclusive goonzu clothes and crown. Each goonzu term last 1 goonzu year which is 48 reg days. They are paid 14mil ever 6 goonzu months. They also appoint minister, judges, and guardian angels that help them during their term. They may be elected more than once but must have one term in-between. Its literally a "job". They must be online often and not miss more than 72 hours without the gm consent. I'm not completely familiar with this~
