I get text's from people I don't know all the time and even phone calls if you let them know they have the wrong number they usually stop calling and texting you. If you get a cellphone you have to deal with that, but I just got a text message plan so it doesn't cost me.
I've never had problems with t-mobile and when I have problems with the people in the stores I just call customer support and they get it worked out for me.

i sent and recieved a lot of messages, so i signed up for the plan 400mgs for only $5.. which is a really good deal considering cingular charges 200mgs for $5
and 500 msgs is A LOT, i never even went over 300

Only way is to block text messages. So before you actually receive them, you can decide to receive it or reject it (thus saving you cash).

It's like, $10 a month.
I guess that would be better than having to pay $1095732906628937501262012, from someone sending you a bajillion texts.
---
Dude, we did that to my friend... She was charged like... $0.05 for each text message, so all my friends got together and send her lots of messages. I think the bill was over $500.00. She yelled at us so much... ==;; It was funny though.

So as some of you may know, T-mobile has been promoting this new feature on their calling plans called "my-favs".
Since the person I talk to the most on my phone is someone out of the network, I thought that it would be a good idea for me to switch my plan over to my-favs. So I called T-mobile on 1/27/07, which was the last day of my billing cycle. The customer representative said, "well in order for us to activate the my-favs plan, we're going to have to backdate it to the first day of the billing cycle, 12/28/06". I was fine with that...so it was activated.
Ok. So far so good.
A few days later, I checked my text message balance by dialing #674# and it said "15 additional messages used". Now this type of balance should not occur on my account because I have a text messaging package that gives me unlimited text messages for 9.99/month. Of course I called t-mobile to find out what happened and the customer service representative told me that the change in my calling plan had automatically kicked off my text messaging plan because my text messaging plan was a grandfathered plan that t-mobile no longer offered. I asked her to reinstate my unlimited text messaging plan and she said "okay, I can do that for you"
So far so good.
A few days later, I checked my text message balance again and it said "67 additional messages used". I was upset that the change that the representative promised me didn't go into affect yet so I called them again.
This is where it turns into a nightmare.
The customer service representative I got this time, was confused as to why the text messaging package did not reinstate and would not reinstate when she tried. She put me on hold for about 5 minutes and came back on the line with an explnation that went something like this, "My supervisor looked into your problem and we found out that myfavs is not compatible with the unlimited text message package that you used to have on your account and unfortunately we are not able to reinstate it back onto your account"
Here, some of you may be thinking.. "okay get over it you lost your unlimted text message package...so what?"
BUT....rewind to the beginning of this story where my change was backdated to 12/28/06. The text messaging option had been taken off on the backdated date 12/28/06, therefore, every single text message i had sent in the past month had been charged per message.
HOW THE F*** do they expect the customer to know the ins and outs of the compatibilities of their service plans when the so-called 'supervisor' didn't even know what was going to happen to my account????
And what kind of plan change gets backdated a whole month on the last day of the billing cycle??????????

"Uh, are you sure these are t-mobile subscribers?"
"Yeah, it's only written on the statement 100 times."

should its not in your control, also tell them you have no idea who this is,
and you never even talk to a person with their number.
its with every phone company now so dont worry!
i like tmo only because i like their phones, and works great at my place, work, fiances, and the mall that i go too!
plus i dont worry about the text message or anything everything i have is unlimited, from messages, im, picture message video message, i think its worth it . but dont get me wrong i still pay a pretty penny at the end of the month
i think u need to call customer care and get a newbie
keep calling them.. until someone feels bad for you! good luck!
