Well, you graduate from the program after a year. He'll be getting to his one year around March? And then he has to get an externship where you work at a restaurant and they grade you on how well you work and learn.

Yeah... It's sad how people who don't know it blow it off like in My Name is Kim Sam Soon:
Guy: You graduated from high school and then went to France for the Le Cordon Bleu program?... (doesn't know what it is)
Sam Soon: Yes, I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu program which is one of the finest culinary programs in the world with a history of over 150 years (or something to that effect)
Guy: Okay so STILL just a high school graduate (basically doesn't care)

and no. most of the food network chefs went to cia, j&w, fci or went to europe. theres an article on sf weekly that says the cca just wants money. most of the stuff you'll learn at cca, wont be used, you'll learn new and efficient ways of prepping. get out of the cca and go to ccsf. basically the samething at ,uch cheaper rate. an for those that say cca is prestigious name, it really isnt. they let anyone in. as long as you can sign your name on the loan, you're in. i seen mentally disabled people attending cca, and they dont know what they're doing. also they lie to you, saying you'll be exec chef when you get out. but really you'll be making less than 12 dollars an hour.

Ridiculously expensive. I think something like $40,000/year. But you're done after one year so :I
