Hey guys,
So in my literature class, we have our biggest presentation project coming up and we picked the order that we will go by drawing names. and i was picked LAST so i ended up going LAST. i heard that going last in a presentation is really bad because everyone(both the students and teacher) is going to have high expectations of me since i have more time to prepare and they have seen all the good ones. if i mess up, they will walk out of the class remebering because it is fresh in their mind. ahh im so worried. this sucks cuz all this worrying is going to mess me up and since this is a HUGE part of our grade and my crush is in my class, im dooooomed x_X is going last really that bad? please tell me its not that bad. lol.

well i never liked to go last, because it's not that they have high expectations of u, but u'll feel very pressured cuz u need to sit through all ur classmates's presentations, and if they're 'seemingly' better than urs, u'll feel stressed. or u'll be so nervous and pee in ur pants if u wait and wait
i always want to go first. cuz i set a standard there (good or not, it doesn't matter), and other people will either need to meet that, or beat that. and i save myself for peeing in my pants and stress.

yup yup ^^ agreed. lol
I always volunteer to go first. I don't think it will make that big of a deal going last, but I would recommend having quite a strong presentation/speech. Your teacher's probably sick of hearing everyong go by now (at least mine are). So just make it strong and have a powerful conclusion so it will leave a lasting impression. =] Just be glad you're not going in the middle..that's where teacher have a hard time remembering! lol good luck!

If it makes you feel any better...ppl usually never pay attention to presentations anyways....they only pay attention....if you're usually very funny...and they expect a good laugh.....
My sophomore year...I gave a presentation....we didn't get to choose the order...so I went like...on the last day ..(if I had a chance to choose....I would've gone first....)....and my friend...he slept through all of the presentations....and got up to hear mine because I was 'funny'....
Its one thing to break the ice....and get ppl to tune in.....and its another thing to make a fool out of yourself.....
Being the last person...sucks....my teacher has said how she hates listening to the last presentation because its so 'dreadful'....so to make it not so dreadful....you can make it better by making ppl laugh....and be 'interesting'....like ppl usually say...'go out with a bang'...or in this case....'end it with a bang'...

i actually like being last~
cuz depending on whether or not you have the ability to or not
you have the spotlight in a way
'cuz ppl can remember yours easier =)
so if you wanna make a point
its better in the end =]

It may not be "bad," but I never liked to do it. For one thing, you'll feel like you have to top everyone who has gone before you, which is intimidating. It's also nerve-wracking to have to sit there filled with anxiety during every other presentation while you wait your turn. And yes, as the last presentation, yours will stick in everyone's mind the longest. But you shouldn't be too nervous about it. One of the benefits is that you can see what everyone else does well or poorly and try to adapt your presentation accordingly.
