I have found that 1.6x crop to be the most annoying thing ever!
Often take a step back, run into a wall and still won't be able to frame it nicely. Grr

Ahaha yeah... What lenses do you use? I hear Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 is SWEET on Canon's cropped cameras.

Anyway these days I can't take my hands off of my fisheye lens. Everyone says that it's just okay and not that great, but I love it a lot >_<

Just using a 50mm F1.8 lens. I wish I could get the XSI kit lens.. IS seems so useful. Yeah, im focused on trying to keep spending low.

You can't blame the crop factor... you just don't have the correct lens for your purposes, right?

If you only had a 85mm f/1.8 you'd hate full frame too.

Honestly, the non-IS kit lens can be had for like $60.

I know that O_o im just saying its annoying. I know its worth considering the non IS... but hey its not an illogical thing to hope the IS version of the lens will saturate the market after the XS comes out.

Well, thats what I am waiting/hoping for before I get one of those.

w00t.gif So I finally found the 18-55mm IS..

i'm looking to buy either the canon xti or xsi. both are good cameras so the deciding factor for me right now is the price ... ritzcamera has a discount on the xsi for 799$ flat. circuit city has the xti for 693$ (with tax). now, which should i choose? i already have SD cards with my previous canon P&S so i don't need to buy additional memory whereas with the xti, i'll have to buy CF.

anywhere else online with some great deals? i was reviewing this thread last night and was so bummed when i read the xti's were cheaper before! this will be my first dslr camera. i also checked out the nikon d40x & d60 but chose a canon because i'm a bit more familiar with their menu settings. i'm looking for a camera where i can grow into as well if i decide to pursue more into photography smile.gif thanks in advance for any help/comments.

I'm upgrading from my 300D to the xsi and bought into the Ritzcamera deal for $799. I figured for that price, it's like getting the kit lens for free (or 40-50 bucks depending on how much people are selling the body these days). Not a bad deal considering the 18-55mm IS len goes for $150-200

My question is... if you can have sushi that looks like that at home, why the heck are you still eating at places like Isobune? LOL

Haha, my uncle is a sushiman and he made all that sushi for father's day weekend...

Isobune isn't my favorite sushi place, but my brother loves to go there laugh.gif

Hi, im totally new here.
Im planning on getting a Nikon D60 with a AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm Lens
can someone who has a D60 tell me if it's a good camera or not?
Just a beginner so, any comments would be very helpful (:
