Synopsis
Haruko is a responsible and capable OL who earns 3,000 yen an hour and has 28 people under her charge. She, however, never cracks a smile, is cold, never minces her words and leaves the office on the dot. Haken no Hinkaku is a timely drama that examines the differences in the treatment of an OL dispatched by a food manufacturer to a supermarket and regular employees, and the ways to overcome frictions in interpersonal relationships. It follows in the wake of an October report on labor conditions by the Labor Ministry, which showed that the proportion of regular employees to OLs had doubled compared to that eight years ago, after a relaxation of regulations.

My personal thoughts
I started watching this drama about three weeks ago and was hooked on it as the main character is a strong-willed woman who doesn't take any crap from anyone. I simply love her attitude, not forgetting her dancing the flamenco. And the bartender at the club is quite cute. My only complaint? No one is subbing this wonderful drama!!!

i was reading the thread in jdorama forum and someone had posted that they decided to sub this series..i really like the synopsis..maybe becoz it's not the typical klutz n cutesy type of character..

Someone is subbing this at d-addicts, although only episode 1 is released so far.

First episode got me hooked, absolutely love it. I thought the line Mori said near the end was really cute, "I will follow you, Omae-san, for the rest of my life" even after she was yelled at. XD

The bartender's actor is Shirota Yuu. I was actually disappointed when I saw he had such a small part. T_T

clauric: I agree. Most j-dorama that I watched always feature the women being strong but silent type. But here, you could see that Haruko can stand up to anyone when she wants to. And she's definitely not a klutz or a cute one at that. I guess the writers decided to make Miyuki the klutzy and cutesy one.

Redrac: The only other drama that I ever saw Shinohara Ryoko in is Anego. Don't know about her other dramas. I thought the bartender was half and half too. He was in the movie, Prince of Tennis - The Movie. His new movie, June Bride looks interesting too. Apparently, the movie is based on a manga. Here's a delicious pic of him courtesy of dramawiki

To be honest, what got me to DL this drama was because it started airing on my birthday. So, I thought I DL it just for fun. Who would have thought that I'd be hooked from the beginning.

With the season's dramas faring on the weak side, this is my favorite one. But then I pretty much like Shinohara in anything. The characters are quite interesting, I wonder if there's gonna be a Koizumi - Shinohara - Oizumi triangle. Maybe Shinohara still has a younger guys thing going on after Anego and Unfair. Btw do you gals know that Koizumi is THE ex-Japanese prime minister Koizumi's son? Ep 5 with chinese subs are out, woohoo.

i'm on ep. 4. i started ep. 1 a couple of days ago I better slow down because this show hasn't been fully subbed yet.

her cowoker is so incompetent. If she lied for the job and can't do anything right/slow learner... i think they should have replaced her. I don't really like that character. instead of whining all the time (hmm maybe it's the actress), she should just further her training and learn some computer skills.

I guess this threas is quite slow , they dont know theyre missing on this drama, I just started and finished ep.1 OMG It was so hilarious!!! and very interesting one, a unique storyline... theyre all amazed on her, I was laughing so hard when she called the the curly curl hair!!! hahahahha, he always got pissed of the oomaesan!...

I didn't know we had Jdorama series on soompi ! Loved this series. Oomae is one "super haken" to be certain . I'll be tracing Ryoko's career backwards to see what else I've been missing. Don't think I'll ever have my fill of Korean and Japanese television. They just keep coming and coming.......

Really strong character the woman has. Just remind me of the Queen's Classroom.

I finished watching this drama and it was very hilarious! this the first time i have ever stumped upon a drama like this!

Well i was a bit sad that Satonaka Kensuke and Oomae didnt have something!
i had to admit i didnt expect that curl curly hair would be the one the Oomae would be with!


But its worth the watch!!
