Pretty much I got my semester grades back today. I got 6 A's and 1 C- and that is for AP History =/. I failed the midterm for it (yes, an F :\) and this is why I did really bad on history. But it's not like I'm the only one who did bad. I knew plenty of people who failed or just passed, and there was no curve for this midterm either. I don't know how to explain to my dad! I know if I say how hard it was, he won't even listen and no matter how many A's I got he's going to flip out for the F i got /= And I don't know if saying that the F was only a midterm will help =/

grades...owchies...
(but ahem AP History? im guessing highschool? wrong place then ><)
there must be a reason for u to get this bad grade and u should explain it to him...if the reason legitimate than he should understand...if its not well then u had it coming didnt u?
i dont mean to sound mean or anything but yeah back in highschool i totally slacked off in junior year (the worst year to slack off) and it showed in my grades...my parents werent pleased...but i deserved everything cuz it was my fault for the sucky grades

Just be glad you're not in college yet. An F in a midterm definitely means you're not getting even a B in the final grade.
Talk to your parents and tell them. Take a lot of pain killers beforehand.

You should never use this as an excuse unless you want to be a mediocre person. I hear this one a lot, and to be honest, it just seems like the person is using it as an excuse for doing badly in other prospects in the future.
I don't mean to be accusatory, but how in the world did you manage a C- in the class if you got an F on the final? That would mean you did sufficiently well on the rest of the class. This indicates that you're just going through the motions and not really attempting to learn from the class (and if this is the case, you are wasting your time going to school). My advice (take it or leave it) would be to do your best! It will really help you in life in the future. This is often-repeated but seldom-followed advice.
