so i was just wondering if losing weight would be a bad thing. i mean of course its a good thing if your overweight but what about your clothes? for insentience if you were wearing a size large and you lost a whole bunch of weight and your a size small, wouldn't you have to get rid of all your old clothes? the old clothes that you LOVED and spent so much money on. just wondering about your opinion. laugh.gif

That's true, it's a shame knowing that you have to give all your old clothes away or throw them away.. sad.gif

Not for me... sweatingbullets.gif
Alot of my clothes right now are a little too small for me because I gained a few pounds.
If I lost weight I would fit my old jeans! I would be so happy. x]

for tops, i've no problems, still same size

for bottoms, like jeans, almost all of my jeans are too big for me, like a dozen jeans, only 2-3 fit okay mellow.gif
but, the pants that I used to wear when I was skinnier years ago, now they fit me again biggrin.gif

Well I think skinny people wearing larger stuff is fine. It stinks the other way around because bigger people can't wear smaller sizes, no? Even after losing weight, (if not DRAMATIC DRAMATIC DRAMATIC) clothes can still be altered and if not, they can apply fobby fashion where some of the style works with smaller frames in larger sizes. (or baggy clothes, if that makes sense).

Yes it's a bad thing. Besides the problem about your favourite clothes, u also get stretchmarks. Like me.. i really hate those on my thighs... X_x I only had that after i lost weight.

well, it sure sounds like me then, i lost over 25lbs, i use to be a size large and now i wear small, in jeans i use to be 9, but i wear 1 or 3, what happen to all my old clothes? well i just end up throwing or wearing them to sleep smile.gif, i love wearing big clothes to sleep..hmm but i guess it's okay because i feel so much better when i'm skinner and get to wear a lot of clothes that i didn't get to wear before and it is true that most brand name clothes make clothes for skinny people. i go shopping every week so that adds up more clothes compared to the old clothes that i use to have and i share clothes with my sis too, so it's actually a pretty good thing.

not necessarily a bad or good thing.
i buy usually XS .. but when i put on a little more weight my clothes feel tighter.. but i lose/gain weight quickly so it doesn't matter much. and plus my weight flucuates between XS~S ish...

if they are really that big and you want to keep your old clothes then you can tailor the clothes or just safety pin the back so you can fit it =)

Yea it's a bad thing but on the good side, wouldn't it be oh so good to actually buy prettier clothes cos you got a new figure? tongue.gif

I think the wasted money of your old clothes would be worth it if you lost weight.
You could get some new clothes that are prettier and flatter your new figure.
Haha, I want to lose weight.

wouldnt the fact that you actually are skinnier override the fact you cant fit your clothes anymore?? personally id be happy i didnt fit my old pants properly or sth, shoes me iv gotten thinner [or that my clothes have simply stretched>.<]....plus, it would be like..."YAY! NEW WARDROBE!" hahaha...

I'm in the process of losing weight and I've lost about 30 lb so far... my jeans are now REALLY loose and unflattering for me but half-term holiday [mid-term break?] is coming up so I'm gonna go shopping for new jeans.

Ugh... it's really crappy because I haven't been this weight since I was 13/14 and lets say my style was WAAAAAAAAY different to what it is now.. so there really is no point of me wearing my old stuff. Eurgh.

My tops don't really annoy me though because I can always work around them into some sort of style, it's just all my jeans and trousers I guess. =(

But overall it's good because I get new clothes and stuff that will flatter me more now that I'm a smaller size. biggrin.gif
