Is It Normal To Gain Weight Before Your Period?

but yes, I do gain weight a couple weeks before my period. I only gain like 2 pounds or so. I think that's normal.
My mom always tells me that it's because my body is preparing for the blood loss from periods. *shrugs*

a week before my period, my whole body expands. Mmy arms, boobs, everything, especially my stomach. It will bloat so bad, and no matter how much i try to push it it/hold it in, it doesnt work! And i feel hungry all the time, cant stop thinking about food.
But once the period comes, everything shrinks. And i am no longer hungry. So i guess it's normal.

anyways, i've heard that you wont gain weight regardless of what you eat when you're having your period...?? haha i wonder if its true hehe

your metabolism doesnt slow down, you just tend to eat more.
its your body's way of preparing for pregnancy, in which case doesnt happen once you get your period.
