who do you think will be remembered?

I'll edit my post later but believe or not many people would said tht they are going to forget hyori in short time(meaning tht they don't like hyori.

So far i think people would remember is

1. H.O.T- I'm not a fan of them or their music except a few songs but honestly people are still talking about them untill i got tired of people talking abut h.o.t.

2.FINKL&S.E.S- I'm have to say tht they're probably two most famous girl group in korea. Most of their member are still famous doing their solo activity.I have to say tht hyori are going to be remembered, wether people hate her or not. She are known for her sexy image and as fashion icon to teenager in korea. There's a lot of hyori wannabe but no one ever managed to achieve her popularity. She was so popular tht 2003 are called by the press as hyori syndrome.Don't compare her to boa because boa are active in japan and not korea.

3.DBSK&SUJU-Seriously i don't think i have to say about this, suju bcos of the large number.

4. I'm going to be so biased if i put CSJH.

This is obviously biased because I don't know too many Korean singers/groups who have stopped singing.... or are singing now. :X

1. 1TYM (would you count them as "stopped?")
2. FinKL, Baby VOX, SES
3. Rain, DBSK, Big Bang (kind of new though, but pretty big already. we'll see later?), SE7EN, Shinhwa, Super Junior
4. BoA, Hyori (I do think she will be remembered...)

I dont know about stopped singing groups...probably HOT, that's all i know haha, but the groups singing now:

Guy artists/groups that are singing now: Shinhwa, Dong Bang Shin Ki (they're well on they're way to being legends in kpop)

I have an inkling super junior might be too, but it's too early to tell haha.

I agree with athirah in saying that hyori will probably be forgotten, although i like her and her music.

People I could absolutely care less about but are going to be remembered anyways:

People I want to have others remember them and probably will:

Shinhwa, 1TYM, Finkl, SES, Hyori

For people like Suju and Big Bang, it's too early to tell (although I don't think either will be remembered in the long run). And personally I think down the road Se7en'll be seen by others as a poor man's imitation of Rain and be forgotten.

Thank you very much for elaborating and I agree completely. I think others misunderstood when you first said that "people will put down hyori won't be remembered" (for the reason that they don't like her).

I honestly think Boa'll be remembered more as the Korean who made it big in Japan rather than for her work in Korea.

And I don't see how some people think Finkl will be remembered but Hyori won't... that's pretty contradictory right there since Hyori was a part of Finkl and to a lot of people Hyori was Finkl, period.

H.O.T&S.E.S&Fin.K.L: lol. well they are pretty much remembered ALOT. H.O.T's pretty much legendary XD.

DongBangShinKi: These boys so far are a huge craze so most likely will be remembered.
SE7EN: His danceing is crazy and he was farely popular when he first debuted and still is so.
Shinwa: I'd pretty much pack them with H.O.T, S.E.S & Fin.K.L lol. Except they're still alive and still quite popular.
Rain: Not much needed to say here. I'd be surprised if he was forgotten haha.
Super Junior: LOL this group is HUGE. Hard to forget a group with 13 members haha.

BoA: Well she's pretty much "remembered" and considered legendary. She debuted so young
and still made it big. That and the fact she sings in four languages although she's not fluent in two of them.

I couldn't really think of any female groups or female solo singers that would be remembered that are still active.
Hyori's a possibility but I don't know. She seems like she might be forgotten but probably remembered once in awhile.
Don't get me wrong, she's awesome but, I don't know. Just a feeling.

for potential (talent) wise...I think Lee Seung Gi and Big Bang both have potential to be really good in teh future maybe...

1. HOT - for being the first idol group in korea.. they're still known to people who even just got into KPop recently (years after they broke up) i think an artist will be remembered mostly for their music.. if they have legendary songs, then ppl will remember them for a long time.. for example, the song 'candy' will be remembered all time, and thus HOT.. but it's only the song, not the members.. when you see Tony, you won't remember the glory days of HOT back then..
the same goes for deux, turbo, seotaiji.. their songs are legendary.. even though it's been 10+ years, those celebs in XMan (and other game shows) still go crazy whenever they hear the songs played.. but i think it's more for people in their late 20's, people who were teenagers when those singers were big.. the new groups are not as crazy..
2. this one is a bit hard.. i want to say SES or finkl, which practically the biggest girl group back then.. but now people already start to forget about them.. and they don't have that much of a legendary song except SES's all your dreams..
3. Shinhwa.. i'm sure shinhwa will be remembered at least in another 50 years.. a group might be forgotten when they break up and not produce any more music.. but if they never break up, then you can't forget about them right? and they said they will stay together until they die.. so that means another 50 years provided that they reduce their smoking habit.. and they don't need any legendary song to be remembered (their name speaks for itself lol) ppl will remember them as the longest living group who never breaks up or has member replacement until the end..
and maybe dbsk, although it's too early to say.. dbsk is the first dancing group without a member having a role of a rapper.. but they don't have any legendary song as of now..
4. bOA, Hyori.. ppl will still remember them in the next 10-20 years..

Bi--> although he is a korean artiste but he can be classified as a world artiste!! just look at the places where he held his concerts!! and his stage chrisma is just fantastic!!

4. BoA--> most successful femlae singer to break into the japanese market!! heard tt all her albums so far has top the oricon chart!!
that is an amazing result!!

hyori--> heard tt she is the highest paid in korea.. and tt when they do a survey on who being the most influential people in korea.. she is in the top 10

i think BoA will be remembered the most because almost every asian knows who she is and some other races too.. she is very success full and almost all her albums have topped the oricon chart... and i think she was pretty famous even before she debuted so... eh lol

The first part would be defitnately H.O.T. How many times did you see current groups performing H.O.T songs. They are still remembered even after they broke up 6 years ago. Their legacy still lives.

3. shinhwa definitly. i mean common there group name means legend lol, they have chemistry together that no other boyband has. um not too sure about dbsk, like others said they were only around for like 3 years and they dont have a huge legendary song that everyone knows. rain. just because hes huges in the asian business. not sure about suju.. like i said its like the same as dbsk. also SG wannabe deserves to be remembered. i think that sgwannabe is extremely underrated compared to dbsk and suju when sgwannabe clearly has more talent but hey its how the korean indusrty works if your not pretty you cant get famous as easily as others and of course i cant forget 1tym
