Synopsis

Alex Fletcher (HUGH GRANT) is a washed-up 80s pop star who��s been reduced to working the nostalgia circuit at county fairs and amusement parks. The charismatic and talented musician gets a chance at a comeback when reigning diva Cora Corman invites him to write and record a duet with her, but there��s a problem�XAlex hasn��t written a song in years, he��s never written lyrics, and he has to come up with a hit in a matter of days. Enter Sophie Fisher (DREW BARRYMORE), Alex��s beguilingly quirky plant lady, whose flair for words strikes a chord with the struggling songwriter. On the rebound from a bad relationship, Sophie is reluctant to collaborate with anyone, especially commitment-phobe Alex. As their chemistry heats up at the piano and under it, Alex and Sophie will have to face their fears�Xand the music�Xif they want to find the love and success they both deserve.

THIS MOVIE WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD
surprisingly, hugh grant has a nice singing voice.
i love the song "pop! goes my heart"

this is definitely a must see chick flick. the story/plot is decent, but the acting is amazing. i truly loved it!!!
besides, any move where hugh grant is starring is a must see film!

I saw this today. I must say, even though the music was really cheesy, I LOVED IT. I really want the soundtrack now. The story was pretty good, the usual chick-flick-y type of thing. It was really funny though and I did really like it.

OMG!!!* i'm soooooooooo in love w/ this movie and "WAY BACK INTO LOVE"~* i think i'm gonna go get the OST afterschool. This is definitely my favorite American movie

. I love it!!* i think the choice of actors complimented and contributed really well!!!* i loved the movie. It was marveslously put together and really creative. I recommend it to everyone.. so SWEET!*

wow.. where did you dl the OST? i've been searching for it all over town to buy, but the first ones that'll be in stock is coming in tomorrow, so i'll have to wait. but yes, i don't want to actually dl the ost, i j/ want a sneek-peek @ it. lol.

hahha I LOVE the movie<3333 just watch it today. honestly, i had some doubt for this movie like another chick flick, but then it turns out really funny and cute. its so sweet when the dude played the piano for sophie. i almost cried. XD

it's a really feel good movie!!
i absolutely loved the songs.. me and my friends couldnt stop singing them down the streets HAHA and in school the next few days..

i actually thought it would be bad, and im a tough rater of movies HAHA
loved the music video.. hilarious. who knew drew barrymore could sing? her voice is nice.

It's funny... I can't believe Hugh Grant sang all those 80 song... And they way that he shaked his butt was really funny... I like two songs, Way Back to Love and Don't Write Me Off.

i was more into the music in this movie than the acutally plot
still it was cute =]
it kinda reminded of the wedding singer when adam sandler makes a song for drew barrymore (interesting how she's in both movies)
does anybody know where i can get that song "way back to love?"
