so i was in class today and i kept getting random texts and voice mail from guys. Some guy kept texting me until i told him "i think u got the wrong number" and then another guy told me he saw my number on craiglist (which is some kind of porno website) under portland oregon (which is where i live ) i swear to GOD i did NOT post up my number on some freakin porno website and its starting to gross/creep me out...some b**** posted my number there and i have no idea how they got it since i dont give out my number (only to my close friends) gahhhhhh what should i do ? i dont wanna go to that porno website (gahh it almost blinded me) should i just get a new number or how do i get my number off that website??

craigslist isn't a porn site..lol it's a networking type thing...so just contact the webmasters and tell them what happend...i'm sure they'll remove the listing...

or just change your number..

First off, somebody must really hate you. Or maybe one of your friends are playing a joke...but then again, who would do that.

You should probably email through the web's contact info, and if that doesn't work, I guess changing your number is the only option.

i tried searching for the page since the dude said "arent you BUNNY?" so i tried searching on craigslist but i cant find it (and not mention im so blinded now T_T)

it was freaky cause i got voice mails from these old men *shivers* and they were saying horny stuff >=[

You can't. Your only option is to change your phone number. I would contact craigslist to get the time/date and IP number then contact the providier of the IP number saying this and that. You could prob trace back to who posted your number. I'm sure that violates one of the many laws in U S of A, then again you can always sue.

you can block numbers.
you need to call your service provider, and there is a fee.
its a big hassle to block every single number that comes in.

instead just change your number

i think you also have to call your service provider. (tmobile, cingular, verizon whatever)

and i would contact craiglist and ask to see who posted that msg up or something

alot of phones allow you to assign ringtones to specific callers or a "caller group" like "friends", "family" etc. Depending on your phone model, you can either assign a silent ringtone to ALL unknown callers or you have to assign each and every unknown caller a contact name [like Blacklisted 1, Blacklisted 2 etc etc] and silent ringtone. It will not prevent them from calling you, but at least you won't be bothered by it because your phone won't ring. This is only a bandaid fix of course.

The only permanent fix is to change your number and be even choosier about who you give your number out to. Better still, make sure they in turn don't give out your new number to "less trusted" friends. In the meantime you can ask the website to trace the IP for you like someone above suggested. Then play sweet revenge on them once you find out who.

I think your main problem is how will you take your number and address out of that porn site. That's a little scary knowing perverts call you and know where you live.

yeah my sister is helping me change my number right now. Im with t-mobile and i use their pay card thingy (where i buy a certain amount of minutes) so its not part of a plan or anything.

I don't think i have any enemies...ahaha at least not that i know of. I hardly give out my numbers to people cause i don't carry my phone with me all the time. I only have around 20 friends on my list (not including family members)

craigslist is taking forever to reply to my mail i doubt they'll even do anything about it.

^just buy a new tmobile pay as u go sim card..it's really cheap when u buy it on ebay..i think it's $7-$10 with minutes included..
