Mp3 Player Suggestions not an iPOD!!

With all these various brands of mp3 players out there to chose from, I want to get one thats the most worth it. I'm not looking for an iPod because I don't believe that it is the most resourceful music player. If you guys would be so kind to name some really good mp3 players out there--that would be great!
I've done a bit of my own research, but I want to see what suggestions you guys would recommend--just to see if we match up on our picks...
What I look for:
+ 1GB & up of memory space
+ able to hold photos
+ video compatible
+ FM Radio
+ Recording capabilities
+ Drag and drop file system
+ easy to maneuver (navigational system wise)
++ durable mp3 player that will last for a while (more than a year or two of normal usage)
+ (preferred) recharable batteries
Thank you in advance for the suggestions. I really appreciate it!

Samsung T9, 2 and 4 GB. Haven't experienced it, but you can say it's like a rival to the Sansa and iPods. Most likely able to last a year if it isn't abused.
These are the only good players I can think of. Prices are cheap, especially the Sansa.

Umm....I actually forgot how long I've owned, but it's when probably couple weeks after the 6 GB version was released. I would say I had mine around November. It's 6 GB.
The video playback is good. Only bad thing is the screen is small, I don't use video much, only to show some clips to my friends. The converter on the other hand is a hit or miss. It'll work for some or it won't with others. When you convert a long video, it cuts it into short 10 min clips, which is a good thing because you can start off on the 3rd part instead of fast forwarding for like 10 minutes. I modded the options on my converter so it splits it into every 30 min instead. I forgot how I did it though.
The earphones were ok for me. It did not stay in my ear and kept falling off. Unless your an audiophile, I think it's ok.
All in all, very good player. Make sure to update the firmware, but I'll bet getting one of the new iRiver players so this will most likely be used only in my car or whatever.
P.S. I got the mod from this forum: www.anythingbutipod.com forums.
EDIT: Forgot to mention. It does not support Asian font yet.......

Well here's the thing about the firmware and this is what I suggest. If it's working good for you with no problems then don't update because some people had problems when they updated and some didn't (like me), but if you are going to use 3rd party accessories like the Griffin FM Transmitter, then you need to update, sometimes not always.
If you want a custom EQ, update it. If you want cover art transfer to work with WMP, update it, although there are different ways of doing this.
Get the update downloader by google, "sandisk sansa e200 update."
