i am really confuse as to what the movie is about and who is who~

can someone recap the movie~ (i did look up the reviews and plots online~ i am still confuse)

or is there another version? no clue

the movie is about a serial murder at a monastery and how sean connery and the other guy (forgot his name) solve the case.
its a good movie. =]
i have the book but havent read it yet.

its not realy that confusing if you watch it and pay attention?
if you watch it all the way to the end then you should know whats going on and why the murders happened
