ok, so DLed a concert thing and its in 11 parts....
and i figured out that i had to join them together first to watch it...

so i DLed HJsplit and tried to join...but that where the problem began...

So i followed these steps:
1 - run software
2 - choose Join
3 - click Input
4 - browse & choose file (suppose to be .001 of course)
5 - choose start & wait until it's finished

When it said "Join completed", i went to My Videos and the file that it had joined, wasn't joined...it was just a duplicate of the .001 file.

When i tried again, it said it was already joined so i couldn't do it again....

Did i do somethig wrong? do i need to do something more than that?

plese help...

take the completed file and remove anything extra that follows after the .avi, .mpg or whatever in the filename. For example your completed video could be named awesome dbsk video.avi.001. Well in that example you'll have to remove the .001 in the filename so that it ends up being awesome dbsk video.avi instead. Just make sure you rename the right file. The completed file, of course, will have a filesize equal to all of the little parts combined. Also make sure you're able to see file extensions in windows or else you won't be able to do this. If you can't then be sure and turn off the "Hide extensions for known file types" in Folder Options > View menu.

[DVD] DBSK Rising Sun Concert 2006_Part4.avi.004
[DVD] DBSK Rising Sun Concert 2006_Part5.avi.005
[DVD] DBSK Rising Sun Concert 2006_Part6.avi.006
[DVD] DBSK Rising Sun Concert 2006_Part7.avi.007
[DVD] DBSK Rising Sun Concert 2006_Part8.avi.008
[DVD] DBSK Rising Sun Concert 2006_Part9.avi.009
[DVD] DBSK Rising Sun Concert 2006_Part10.avi.010
[DVD] DBSK Rising Sun Concert 2006_Part11.avi.011

and this is what the joined file says..

When i open Windows Media Player, the total time says 2:16:38 (which is wut its supposed to be) and then it just stops in the middle at the same time the first part stops...if u understand wut i mean...
So basically the first part stops at 13:16 and the joined file stops at 13:16 / 2:16:38....

btw, thnx so much for helping!

I would first try playing the joined file in another player like VLC Player or Media Player Classic and see if they can handle the file properly.

After that try temporarily removing the .002 from [DVD] DBSK Rising Sun Concert 2006_Part2.avi.002 and see if you can play that file by itself. This will give us a clue as to why your completed file won't play properly. I'm hoping it's just because Windows Media Player sucks and not something else. Speaking of which, I recommend you use other players anyways (if for no other reason) because Windows Media Player's video quality is poor compared to Media Player Classic or VLC Player. It's blurrier than it should be and is much easier to see the difference on high quality video.
