I've heard of this program from a lot of juniors at my school and they said it is truly an once-in-a-lifetime experience.
They offer Spring, Fall, and Summer semesters in various locations including Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Pacific Northwest, etc etc.
They also offer college credits. Here's the link to see which schools would accept the college credits.
I was planning to do Study Abroad in Korea at Ewha's All-Women University during Spring of '08, but this program seems tempting. So I decided to save up money and go to the Rockies the summer of '08.
I think it would be neat to have to explain to someone that your summer involved backpacking, kayaking, rock climbing, and river rafting.
