I'm planning to live at an apartment with my cousin and her friend. Also this place was rented out by all college students this past year.
But... I've heard people recommend to stay on campus and live in the dorms... this school's dorms are kinda bad..really small.
What do you recommend, dorms or off-campus living?
Did you like living in the dorms?
What do you think you missed out on if you didn't live on campus?

but i guess it really depends on the school? i got to a small private school so our dorms are nicer than most...but then again...theyre expensive...
but i am moving out next year...mostly because i want a kitchen so i can cook food T.T and like i said...the dorms here are expensive...i would pretty much have a full ride if it wasnt for the dorm rent

i like living in my dorm. i have nice roommates. could control the ac. hahaha that makes me feel powerful cause some of my friends don't have the air conditioner in their rooms. and they share the bathroom/shower with the whole floor. i share it with 4 other people...i guess the living option depends on your school...but that's how my dorm is. and im content with it
what pikapika said.
if you're a fresh than it is recommended that you dorm. you have a higher chance of meeting people and more activities.
people in my building spend time together, like lunch/dinner, games, tv, etc...we even took a group picture. and now they're thinking of getting a sweater for the building...........
if you're into that stuff, i guess yeah, it'll be fun.

i lived in an apartment my freshman year and i missed out on a lot. i had to rely on friends to meet other friends and it got weird at times. i think living in the dorms is an experience that can't be compared to anything else....whether its good or bad.
you have three years to live with other people in a house or apartment so do it then.
also, (i think a lot of people can relate to) many people don't end up staying friends with people they live with who were their friends from the past. college is a phase where so many people are changing and sometimes who you were isn't going to be who you will be. keep that in mind

i know...a lil fruity right? oh wells.

I lived in a dorm my freshman year and got the "college experience". Then I moved to an apartment for my sophomore year currently as it's cheaper. But sometimes I feel a bit like an outside when it comes to activities and such on campus.
Plus dining halls! Oh how I miss the dining halls, and it's also an easier place to socialize

I agree...they're very convenient and you can meet a lot of new people. It's a good opportunity to get involved with others...there's always a lot of activities going on in my dorm. It's definetly a good experience...if you have a good roommate.
