My PSP's screen won't turn on!! I used it just this morning (at like, 7:000).. The green power light works, but the screen won't turn on, there isn't any sound, and when I try to turn it off I have to hold the power button (like when you have to reset it) for about 20~25 seconds before it turns off.. I've had it for about a year or two, so I think the warranty won't do me any good.. I tried it with the AC adapter plugged in, but that didn't work either..
HELP ME, PLEASE, SOMEBODY!!! (thanks in advance..)

Pull out the memory stick, UMD, and anythign else. Plug it in to charge.
Now think... what was the last thing you did on that PSP?
Did you mess with the firmware? Update it? Downgrade it? Modify it?

I updated the firmware in late december of last year.. And the last thing I did with it was put it in my bookbag.. So for now, my only guess is that it bumped against my other things in there...

Shouldnt be able to kill firmware or anything like that. Just charge it up and give it some time. Maybe it will fix itself.

The thing is if the screen was somehow damaged, you should still get life from it. Like the PSP startup sound. If you hit left or right you should hear the tink tink sounds.
Have you pulled out the battery to see if it helps?

I turn it on, the green light comes on, but nothing comes up on the screen and there's no sound.. Also, I have to hold the power button (as if I'm reseting it) for like a minute until the green light goes out.
I tried taking the battery out, and nothing happens. The only sign of life I get from it is the green power light.
