Even though I'm still not partial to Sasuke being the victor in this battle,

the ending was pretty darn badass.

^ I'm a sucker for the friendship/relationships parts in this story as well. That's why the only part that I liked in this chapters was Sasuke's flashback. Its aBOUT time he recalled his past, sheesh.

I'm re-reading past chapters, and I'm at that Itachi/Naruto scene just after the Itachi and Sasuke fought... I wonder what Itachi gave Naruto as a fail safe against Sasuke... any ideas? It maybe over reaching but I can't help but think it might be Susanoo...

^ I came across a speculation somewhere that stated that Itachi gave a means for Naruto to control and use the Kyubii's power just as the 8-tails and below can use theirs. The reasoning for this is due to the fact that there is a special relationship between the Uchicha clan and the Kyubii.

Anybody remember how Hidan "died"? As this is coming up soon in the anime, anybody remember besides the fact that he got buried? Last I recalled, he got buried alive. But I thought he couldn't die, so is he really dead or just buried alive?

For some reason, I feel like a lack of oxygen won't even kill him. Honestly, he was like the most outlandish villain I've ever seen in this story, and for a story that has the most ridiculous filler villains I've ever cared to know, that's saying something.

I guess they knew it was his decision, but they thought it was a bad decision so they wanted to stop him. And they also love him so they wanted to be with him. But still, you have a point. It's like, let the thing you love go free. But in a way, I think it's good for Sasuke. Because imagine what you would feel like if you told your friends you wanted to go and live with this creepy guy and they were all like 'whatever, do as you like.' I think Naruto and co. are healthy for Sasuke, an emotional tie that's not just revenge and power-hunger. I really like the friendship part of the story. It's so tragic...

Anyways about this week's episode:
Yes, Sasuke remembered his old friends...but he did it while he was thinking about his new friends!!! Does this mean he's moving on? I mean, I guess it's a healthy thing for him to do, make new friends, but that means he'll get over Sakura and Naruto!!! Maybe I'm just being stupid, but it worries me~~~
Also, I was thinking the same thing about him facing off Naruto and Sakura when he goes to Konoha! I wonder what will happen!!

And I thought Sasuke had already used Amaterasu? Event though the narrator panel thing called it Sasuke's emotional Amaterasu...heehee...emotional.
But yeah....

Well at the time, if you look at their ages, they were like 12 or 13 when Sasuke left. Sakura's in-love with Sasuke that's why she wanted him to stay... Naruto thinks of Sasuke as a rival and also his family which is why he wanted Sasuke to stay... and also because they are from the same team. For the character's age at that time, it was a very reasonable plot. Figuratively-speaking, Personally, I might be reading too muich into it, They probably thought that Sasuke wasn't in the right state of mind because he was "infected" with Orochgimaru's Cursed Seal, which is why they've also blamed Orochimaru for it... even though the reason why Sasuke went with Orochimaru was because he wanted to become more powerful to kill his brother.

I think he was buried alive but he's in pieces except for the head. I somewhat remember him blowing up to bits from a bunch of exploding tags that Shikamaru placed on him with that shadow jutsu. But then again my memory is hazy

I remember his head and body got severed, but he's still alive and I'm assuming there must be some sort of jutsu or whatnot to screw his head back on...but I'm just wondering, if he's still alive, why the akatsuki declared him dead and never bothered to retrieve him, since that plant looking akatsuki guy saw the whole thing and knows where he's buried.

well... i guess him seeing juugo, karin and suigetsu do everything they could to help him reminded him of his old friends. as for moving on? i dont see that at all. sasuke did say he was "using" akatsuki so i wouldnt be suprised if theres a big twist later on .

sasuke used the ameratsu once before but that was the one itachi planted in him to use when he sees madara's sharingan.
