Well think about this, if Tobi had both Sharingan, why would he only have one visible? The fact that its his right eye shows some sort of connection to Obito (who only has one eye since he gave the other to Kakashi). The wikipedia article about Tobi is incorrect so far. We don't know for sure if he is Uchiha Madara, we haven't even seen his face yet. The article states as if Tobi is Madara.

The "Tobi is Obito" argument is a lot stronger now and actually has some ground to be supported on.

The possibility of Tobi = Obito is quite scary. As some people already mentioned, the wording of his sentence makes it seems very possible, but I'm still not really digging it. The whole concept seems amusing to me, but I feel it's just weird if he is Obito or if Uchiha Madara is controlling Obito. Why Obito? Why not another past dead ol' Uchihas? Makes me wonder how shinobis buried the dead? Burned them into ashes? Leave Obitio underneath those rocks? Then again, there is that resurrection technic...

This also brings up the subject of why let Orochimaru -a rapist in fetish with the Uchiha clan- join the family? Keep their enemies closer? A play with the idiot's mind? And how much does Orochimaru knows about Akatsuki? So many questions.....

i can't even remeber who obito is ?? =.=; sorry i've read the whole manga up to 364 and i cant remember hu he is ! gahh...

Obito was one of Kakashi's friends. Kakashi got the sharingan from him.

omg......

i just shat 10,000 bricks from this chapter of huge epic win....

the way tobi was talking

"my power, uchiha madaras power" does make him seem as if hes seperating himself from him and that they are two different people and not him BEING madara..

it would also makes sence now, if tobi was infact obito that somehow obtained madaras power...

the puzzle will fit together slowly now =)

My theory on how Obito survived it.... Dedaria is a rock-nin and before Obito got crushed, They even said it that there were many rock-nins around this area. Could have been Dedaria who inturn saved Obito who you can see today, Tobi is so grateful for Dedaria.

Wow... it really does seem to me that Tobi is Obito. It's just WAY too much of a coincidence for Tobi to have only one sharingan visible in that exact spot. And if its true, then it forecasts a battle between Kakashi and Obito

This is going to be torturing for him

Heres what I think about Itachi's knowledge of the Third Sharingan user: While Itachi knows there is another Mangekyou Sharingan user, he isn't aware that Tobi has that power.

I think Itachi might know if Tobi influenced him to kill his entire clan. Cuz you never know, Tobi might of been behind it...

Well one thing is weird is. Itachi joined Akatsuki way before Tobi did and one of the reasons why Itachi killed his family was to join Akatsuki.

Let's not forget that Tobi is the real leader of Akatsuki so he had to of been there since the beginning. It's possible that Tobi could of been the one that recruited Itachi.

Was that actually stated in the manga that Itachi killed his clan to join Akatsuki? Cuz I don't remember that at all nor do I remember a reason behind Itachi's actions was ever given.

so if tobi is obito then it means that the anime series will have to do the kakashi flashback (which i was looking forward to since forever)
