Okay. My dad gave me a drive and it's called Kingston.
So i was downloading a movie ; 1 Litre of Tears. so i put it on the
drive thingy. And when i go to my dad's laptop the movie doesn't play. I tried playing it in
the windows media, and on the WinDvd one, but it still doesn't work. T_T. I put
it on my dad's drive because my comp doesn't have a dvd burner and his does.
So i was just checking if the movie can play, but it cannot. What is wrong? When i play the movie
on my comp it works fine. But when i play it on my dad's comp it only plays the sound.

Can someone help me? Because i really want to burn this movie. <3. Thank you so much.

Ah yes. A classic case. smile.gif

Fortunately, your plight is an easy one to fix, Go ahead and download "CCCP" (Combined Community Codec Pack) from here:
http://www.cccp-project.net/

What's happening is the file is encoded with a codec that your dad's computer doesn't have. After installing CCCP, you should have the codec required to play the video back. biggrin.gif

Anything is possible!!! O_O
lol
Nah thats safe.

If you just want to play, you can download VLC videolan http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ and just use that to play. It has the codecs built in so happy.gif
If you want it to work in like everything, you can get the CCC or download Divx and Xvid codecs (google them) to hope it will make it play. Obviously VLC or CCC will make life easier.
