You listed just about all of my favorites there! Although I never watched He-man when I was a kid, but everything else I watched often. I also watched the Heathcliff cartoon, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on a regular basis as well.
I loved cartoons from the 80's. There are some great cartoons from the early 90's too.

haha the ghostbusters and the ninja turtles were like the power rangers back in the day. i remember so vividly. i always wanted a ghostbuster gun and the ghost trapper thing. i finally got one for christmas. ninja turtles were very popular too and i loved michelangelo. i always played with plastic nunchucks and the action figures. now theyre known as vintage toys or collectibles.
brings back a lot of memories. thanks for creating this thread. i was such a rascal back in the day...

Ah, I checked up on that through Wikipedia. The Ghostbusters cartoon began in 1986, Duck Tales came out in 1987, and Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers came out in 1989. And until I read your reply, I almost forgot about the Muppet Babies as well! I used to watch that one too.
And Chula, you are right; Zelda was a cartoon. If I remember correctly, the Zelda cartoon was shown every Friday in place of the Super Mario Bros. cartoon. I remember the day that I discovered the Super Mario Bros. Super Show... I usually watched "Happy Days" after school, but after flipping through the TV channels, I ended up seeing my favorite video game hero on his own show.
Sorry about the story... This topic really brings back memories!

Nowadays, I usually watch mostly anime but don't get me wrong... back in the past, I really enjoyed American cartoons!
It's just that all the current ones lack the fun stories and characters like the ones from the past.
The artwork in my opinion use to be much nicer too. Compare the 90's X-Men with the new X-Men: Evolution and you can see the difference in detail.
Cartoons today aren't really that memorable and don't have a theme song that you can't get out of your head.
Cool ones:
TRANSFORMERS
Beast Wars
G.I. Joe
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Ghostbusters
Thundercats
X-Men Animated Series
Spider-Man Animated Series
Batman Animated Series
Gargoyles
Funny and Cartoony ones:
Darkwing Duck
Rocko's Modern Life
Angry Beavers
Doug
Rescue Rangers
Duck Tales
Tiny Toons
Looney Tunes
