Overall, depending the teacher teaching it makes it fun for you. We were not told to get the prep books for AP exams, and he told us that if we get worse then a 3 then ur worthless. bleh! no one care anymore haha at least our class did. He gave us assingments that didn't help or wasn't even over the topic or chapter of that time. He'd make us do a assgnment over some random person from the book that had only one sentence about that certain person overall in the textbook.
Ap euro was interesting information, and it was fun until a teacher kills the fun when giving pointless assignments that don't help.
OMG i am glad exams and that class is done! We have petitions going to our principal now saying that he was the worst ap teacher ever.

i have a quick dilemma, which i hope someone can help outttt with ! i'm taking three AP classes next year - AP Language & Composition, APUSH, and AP Physics. now about the latter ... err, should I take AP Physics ? is it hard ? i hate science, i'm not good at it. i've managed an A-average in chem honors, but it's difficult. the AP Physics teacher has already assigned summer homework, and i'm just looking at it, giving it a confused face, because it looks really hard and he's expecting us to do it when i haven't even had the class yett ... so eh. the teacher's grade scale is different; for an A, it's 93-100%, so i'm scared. basically, i'm scared of the syllabus, too. :l
any experiences ?
do you think i can manage ? or should i transfer to Physics Honors ?
i'm a "renown" procrastinator, but i always finish and do my work anyway.
any advice - AP Physics-wise ?

Which ap physics are you taking? B or C?
I can only speak of C, but i only did the mechanics part because our school goes by semesters rather than year long.
we are given ONLY a few problems per night... but they take a lot of thinking and are usually hard.
and wow.. the grading scale is like really hard for your class... our ap physics grading scale is A= 85-100%; B = 70-84.9999%..
since you don't like science, i do not recommend you taking this class. it teaches you how to think -- a very important skill to have -- and it may also save you some money from some GE classes in college if your future major requires physics.
C is usually more harder than B, since C assumes you have a general knowledge of calculus (that doesn't mean you shouldn't take it if u don't know calculus; it will just be a little bit harder)

i forgot to mention it was B. my baddd.
but thanks for your help! you were lucky to have that kind of grading scale.
i don't think i'm gonna take it. there's pros and cons of why i should,
but i don't think i can handle it. :[ maybe senior year ! haha.
i'll resort to honors physics instead; plus in my school, for honors,
we still get an extra point :]

i found the class quite easy to handle, and i felt comfortable during the actual test.
i thought there wasn't really that much material to learn.
and if you do take ap calc bc the year after that, then it should be even easier [because you would've done half the material already]

AP Calculus
i'm takin ap stat in the summer and ap calc in the schoolyear.
i didn't take ap calc but i took calculus ... umm as in college course in high school? err. haha i don't know what it's called but
basically cal state fullerton's calc course was brought to my school.
so first semester is equivalent to AP calc ab & second semester is equivalent to AP calc bc
and first semester was easy.
second semester was a bit challenging.
and some people in my class who took the ap test (Even though they didn't have to) took it b/c they wanted to get credits for school sthat do not accept this transfer of credits. and those who took AB said it was easy and BC -- i heard mixed replies. haha
so overall i don't think it's bad.
it's fun :X but i like math a lot o_o;
and if i were to compare it to precalc (which i aced)
calc is def. harder but it's bearable. not sure if this helped or not haha.

AP Environmental Science (10th grade)
Easy class, lots of labs, passed with a 4 on AP w/o any preparation.
AP Biology (11th)
Plethora of labs.. and reading. I felt adequately prepared for the AP and SATII test.
AP Calculus AB (11th)
To be honest, I am not a math person, but if you do your homework and study regularly, you will get an A-B.
AP English Language (11th)
Know Rhetorical devices, how to write a decent essay, keep up with modern issues, and learn to love AP-style critical reading questions.
AP US History (11th)
One of my favorite classes. The work-load is immense, but you will learn a lot..
Next Year: AP Econ Macro, AP Econ Micro, AP Gov Comparative, AP Japanese D; (yayy..)

- AP Calculus AB
- AP Chemistry
- AP Psychology
so basically, I'm going to get a book as an additional resource because this year is the first year they're having AP chem and the teacher isn't so reliable when it comes to prepping for AP's
any tips or advice that I should follow?

In terms of prep books... I recommend getting like... Princeton along with Barron's. Princeton is really concise / has like no detail at all but Barron's has like a textbook. The problem with Barron's is that it also includes a crapload of extra information that you don't need to know at all for the AP test, so Princeton is good for you to refer to to funnel out what you actually have to know. XD

Is it necessary to take an AP classes in order to get accepted to colleges? Because so far, I have taken none. Would it be too plain if I just take all regular classes throughout high school? Does AP classes helps raise your chance of getting accepted? xD
