Are AP tests impossible like the SATs?

I expect to know the subject through. How are the AP tests graded?

Usually, if you can get a-hold of past exams from teachers, they have the specific ranges on how many points earns a 1,2,3,4,5. Some are pretty easy to get a high score, some are hard.
They seem impossible, but they are not. However, thats dependent on how hard you work smile.gif

Can anyone tell me how AP USH is?
I'm afraid this year becuase i have AP Language & Composition, AP Chem and AP USH.

APUSH is just busy work, it's an easy class. That's just my opinion though.

Yeah, like tjdabeast said, it's a pretty easy class. Mostly, it was a lot of reading and memorizing of facts but I didn't have a lot of trouble getting through the class. (:
And I took AP Lang & Comp too! It was the easiest class I ever too LOL. It's because I had an easy teacher and we barely did anything. ^__^

I was surprise I got a 3 on my AP World History Exam, considering the fact that i barely even read the textbook. Like my AP European teacher, I do not know how I manage to pass w/o really reading the book. I am taking 4 AP classes this year: AP English Language and Composition, AP U.S. History, AP European History, and AP Chemistry. I will actually try harder this year. AP Chemistry is going to be a killer this year.

AP Economics (Macro?)
AP English

what do you do in economics? i heard there was a lot of math/studying involved and i regret signing up for it since the teacher is monotone AND boring. if i drop this class, i'd be getting government & regular econ instead. any suggestions?

and lastly, i know that i'm barely gonna make it through ap english since there's going to be tons of essays/writing.

for those taking AP Bio this year, i suggest going on with the class if you can concentrate/study well since there are a lot of details/work involved. if you're the type to slack off, i recommend just taking that AP class since i devoted most of my attention to it, but this is only my opinion...it might turn out different for everyone.

Ok I'm a junior in HS and today was my first day of school.

I am enrolled in:
AP US History
AP Physics B
AP BC Calculus

I'm not particularly worried about APUSH, and a bit about Physics.

But I am most concerned about AP BC Calculus. I'm afraid I will freak out and fail miserable. If you knew me, you'd know my grades either shoot up the roof or are pretty bad. In my Precalculus Honors class last year I had a teacher who I HATED. She had mood swings and I'd literally be shaking when I step into her class. So terrible. I got a terrible grade in her class. I always know I can do it, but when I'm in her class I freak out like crazy. So my average came out to be a C. She doesn't give ANY partial credit, damn it! :'( I was in a class with all juniors as a sophomore too so that was strange.

So I had to waive in to get into BC Calculus. Thing is, I learn things rather quickly and never have a problem with them. I understand I'll have to do lots of drills to get it back in my head again, but I was wondering what lessons from Precalculus should I be spot-on good in to prepare for this class? I want to know what lessons I should have in my head and also any good sites that teach them well. I am more interested in the rules of Precalculus because I forget them all. >_< *hated class so much decided to drain her brain out during summer*

Please and thanks! Help me get those these dreadful classes! tongue.gif

Any advice on AP World History? It's my first time taking AP and today was the first day of school - I seriously wanted to die. :| Time management and all - I'm really bad at that.

^me too! Today was my first day of school and all I thought about in my AP classes was how am I going to manage doing all this T_T

Can anyone give any advice on APUSH? I'm having trouble reading the textbook and retaining all the information I read. Our teacher assigns us at least 6-7 hours of reading a week + supplementary material & I'm worried that I'll spend a really long time reading b/c most of the time I have to read a paragraph over and over again to get a sense of what it's talking about.

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm reading a section or two every night and I have my first test on Tuesday. I guess I'll see how I do.

ugh, that was me last year lol. i used to look for some outlines teachers post online to help me and just write some things about each event. my textbook had a lot of useless details too, so i googled a lot of stuff and read it there, haha.

I'm supposed to be in all AP classes,
but since it's my last year in high school, I'm only taking AP Calculus
and it gets so confusing sometimes.
I have a quiz tomorrow! Hope I pass.

i took AP Bio and i thought it was an easy class just a lot of work
you have to be dedicated and read the chapter every night to fully understand it
i made a 91% on the first test
and i usually don't study

testing goes like this

star/cst testing [or state testing] > SATS > AP

AP is more difficult than the sats

AP Computer Science!

JAVA is like learning a whole new language! Ahhhh! I've never programed before!!! And the teacher kinda sucks...if it wasn't for my best friend who sits next to me who had been taken programming class for 3 years already I would be soo lost. And it's only the 3rd week of school!

The teacher teaches as if you know what to do already...gosh...

Hopefully, with the help of my friend and AP study guides and if I start understanding the teacher more once I get the basic, I'll be able to pass.

I once read online someone saying you either know it or you don't about the AP Comp. Sci. exam...

Basically, reading, reading, reading, and some more reading. APBio's not very difficult to understand since it's basically all memorization. But that's pretty all there is to it, memorization. My class used the AP Bio book by Campbell and we read around a chapter every 2 days, that's like 30 pages per night. =/

It'll get better as the class goes on. I felt so lost and I wanted to drop the class after the first 2 months, but I wasn't allowed to, but it got a little better as time went on. It'll get easier.
