^ WHAT?!?! Your school offers so many APs >_> I hope you don't mind me asking, but do you go to a public or private school?
My school only offers...2 APs. Yeah, crap school.

lol >.< i go to a private school.. but my school really pushes for people to take APs, i guess it increases our recognition and reputation or something (yes, i'm quite bitter about the environment at my school) anyway, i have a few friends who have graduated with 10 AP credits... O_O (which ended up being virtually useless because they went to canadian universities)

if you dont mind me asking, was the ap stats test really easy to bs to get a 5?
or did they count of for miniscule mistakes?
thankss :]

AP Stats is the most precise class ever.. you cannot bs it and get a 5.
In our school we have 2 levels of AP Stats.. B and C.. the people who take B have a really easy class (not as precise) but almost never get a 5 on the AP exam.. the people who take C are in a much harder class w/ stricter requirements but a lot of them get 5's.

I'm taking C now and in class we do all these practice AP problems.. you gotta like account for everything!! If you even miss ONE word it's like completely wrong (i.e. writing average instead of predicted average).. and it's not like other classes (like Gov) where even if you have some wrong answers they'll only count the right answer and give you points crazy.gif

It's way harder than Calc BC, imo. And maybe even Calc III...

oh crap..seriously?!
because my teacher has been grading our tests like okay you have this word(s) and you're set.
i'm really afraid that it's going to be really really precise because i've just been bsing it lately. :\
right now we're doing probablitiy~ who knew it was so complicated. --;
Then while we live, in love let's so persevere
That when we live no more, we may live ever

do Barrons.

Yeah. I would have to agree. Based on my experience, Barrons is definitely more in-depth and precise. It gets kind of tiring, if you're under a short time limit. If you've got lots of AP's to study for, I recommend Princeton Review for the easier classes/ classes you're naturally better at because they do a fairly good job of summarizing. PR is a better teacher, but its way more broad.

And the best thing to do is to take someone else's review book (preferrably someone smart and studious, with good handwriting) because they'll write in additional notes from your school classes and such.

QUOTE
for people who already taken the ap language and composition exam
can you recommend me a good test prep book?

If you have a good teacher that preps you well, I don't think you need a test prep book. The AP Language teachers in our school consistently pass out essay prompts that show up on the AP tests and give us 40 minutes or so to come up with an essay in class. We also get like, a set of multiple choice questions every other week.

Maybe you should go to the book store and check it out for yourself, depending on what you need. smile.gif

I predict that AP Language, just like English exams and such, is going to be hard to study for. mellow.gif

For me, AP Euro was a breeze partly because our teacher was bad. He didn't teach us that much and the curves for the tests were huge. So I had to study a lot for the AP Exam. The book that helped me was barrons, the recent addition of AP Euro has a lot of useful info. Its also harder and more detailed than Kaplan and the other books so you are more prepared. The last year I got a four. Which I'm proud of, because I misread one of the Free response questions and had to rewrite it in half the time given. Anyway, there are three or four questions to choose from for reach free response, so I don't think you really need to worry about that. The Multiple choice is pretty hard. They ask you really weird questions that don't pertain to the main events that happened in Europe.

Just study a few weeks before the AP test and you will be fine.

Well it depends on your teacher.
The students who took the Chem AP exam last year who had my teacher all got fives and they had to take the make up test because our school was having power problems on the day of their test day because of a storm.
They said the Chem AP exam was easier than her class. They all got B's in her class.

Finals are finally overrrrr!!!

My pre-calc exam took me about 3 hours to finish. That thing was a beast.

I got an A on my APUSH and psychology exam, probably failed my AP Lang, Stats and my physics one. thats just great.

I'm taking AP bio this year and I HATE it. my teacher is seriously inexperienced and does not even teach. he just makes us outline a bunch of chapters, goes over some crappy outlines that comes with the book, and gives us a test. I mean really, im here to learn not have myself tested on "previous knowledge" I should already know. he thinks we already know everything and wastes time doing personality surveys and stupid labs. Hate it!! I dread for the test in may.

It really depends on your teacher. The fact that my teacher doesn't teach at all really doesn't help us.

If you took Physics previously, it'll be easy, since most of the stuff is review. The new stuff isn't hard either.
(When I refer to old and new, it's because in New York State, Physics is a regents level course, then there's AP Physics, so after this year, I'll have taken Physics twice.)

Er.. Geometry is pretty important, especially when it comes to electricity and charges. You'll always need to find r or use it at least. r = radius

Physics is basically math. You get numbers, you plug them into equations.

AP chem test last year was killer.. i totally bombed it, what a waste of money sleep.gif'
only 2 people in my whole school, out of 3 ap chem class, actually passed that exam.
they both got a 3! and one was a national merit finalist.
how sad is that T___T
i think the teacher can't teach correctly -.-
the i think they whole year, we only did two practice multiple choice practice, when that's half of the test points.
and she NEVER went over why it's a certain answer.
it was just "here's the answer, figure it out urself" freak.
i know i can do chem -.-
i mean, i help my college friend with his chem hw. gay.
