can you guys tell me how you prepared and did so well on the test? thanks. this class is a killer. blech.
well i think the most important thing is staying on track throughout the school year, and make sure you understand it. because when you go back to the review, its kinda pointless if you didn't grasp the concept earlier..
i had a great chemistry teacher that prepared us for pretty much everything on the ap test. i think the best thing was having an "equations" test once a week. i ended up getting a 15/15 on that portion of the free response. and believe me, a 15/15 there sets you well off for a 3.
and also know equilibrium backwards and forward. know the basic "RICE" diagram and the special alterations for each thing like titration or buffers, or even Ksp(the easiest kind of equilibrium) there's always an equilibrium problem on the FR and its worth like 11 points.
and as for review, i think the best i've seen was cliffnotes. the multiple choice i skimmed through was basically a replica of the actual mc portion of the test. i wished i studied that more thoroughly because mc is harder than free response.
the thing that really helps is skipping school the day before the test and studying. my whole chem class skipped school and stayed in his room the entire day studying. it was awesome, and it totally helped as a cram session.
i ended up getting a 4. my free response was really strong but the mc wasn't as good. i know i would have gotten a 5 if i brushed up on stoichiometry more. there's alot of mc questions on that. hope that helps.
Anyone know if what they say about the only AP Human Geography review book out there is total crap?
i didn't even know there was an ap hg study guide. what is it?
oh and i finallyy paid my deposit of 13 per AP test today. $78 total. but the good thing is i save like 60 bucks because the school is paying for my ap english test.
