Yes, I'm an upcoming junior. (: Ah, so there is no need for me to take physics right? My chemistry teacher told me that I should take Physics because it's supposedly one of the basics of science and if I don't take it, I'll fall behind in college. (I don't know if that's true, but that's what she told me) While the other chem teacher told his students to take AP Bio/AP Chem and not waste time with physics. So yeah...

My question is: is it really that necessary to have taken those two classes? Cause I haven't taken either of those.
No, you don't need to know any biology, you're essentially learning the same thing as regular biology except in more detail
but you might need to know very very basic chemistry

You might fall behind in science in college, but I'm sure you'll get back to speed. Some of my friends who are in the AP sciences have either doubled up (AP Chem + Physics or AP Bio + Physics) their junior year so they could free up a class just in case they decided to take another AP senior year, and then I also have friends who have not taken Physics and don't plan to -- they just stuck to AP Bio and AP Chem. My chemistry teacher tried to push my class to go straight to AP Chem, and she didn't say a thing about taking Physics.
I can't give you any personal experience because I didn't get far enough into the sciences (had to take IPC as a Freshman) to take an AP. Personally, I would have taken AP Physics but that's because I'm looking to go into architecture/engineering. I will be taking Honors Physics this year.

chem. I don't know anything about that sadly. is there any AP books in stores which you think I could purchase to help me with it, cause truthfully my AP Bio teacher doesn't really know anything, and I'm scared that I'm going to do bad on it, and even fail the class for not understanding. All students that have taken his class have not gotten anything higher than a C. and I'm beginning to understand why they can't make a better grade out of that grade, he's always off-topic and spaced out during lecture time, and he makes me feel stupid being in there. So I guess I wanna do some studying on the side apart from his class to prepare myself. So is there any like Official AP books, guides, anything you think would help me?
^^ feel like I'm ranting too much.

No worries, the AP test will not test you on anything related to chemistry. I didn't really know any chemistry and it was fine ._.
It's just used more for understanding simple concepts.. like bonding, etc. There is a chance you will need to recognize the chemical builds of some compounds (carbs/ nucleic acids / etc) but you don't need to know any chemistry to recognize things like that.
If your teacher is bad at teaching o_o, just follow along the topic he is teaching, and read that chapter in the book or something.
But if you want to use a review guide, use Cliffs AP Bio review book. It is very clear and concise which really helps out in understanding all the concepts.

Ah, I see. Sadly, my school won't let the students double up on the courses... I don't know why but yeah. Thanks for helping me, cyberfruit!

or do some colleges just don't care?

Well, yes, to an extent. Colleges like that we're challenging ourseleves, but if we get less than a 3 on the actual test, then that kind of negates their previous feelings.
And yes, some colleges don't care. You have to look up which colleges do and do not take AP scores.

This is really random, but don't you go to Troy? I remember seeing you post abt Troy.
Cus I'm taking AP psych & AP environmental too
If I'm wrong.. Sorry.
But out of those classes I've only taken APUSH & I loved it.
I kinda like history so it makes sense, but my teacher was awesome & I completely understood almost everything & I didn't even read the textbook once the whole year.
I think it makes a big difference on who you have as a teacher & how much effort you put in.
I took AP Euro my sophomore year & owned the class, but didn't do so hot on the test.
If you do go to Troy, PM me & I'll give you more info abt APUSH & what not

me too! lol. but apparently i didnt do so well (by my standards) since i got a four. maybe if i had a better teacher? the highest anyone got was four. =\ ya, he sucked.
is it true that if you get a five on all your AP tests, youll get accepted into UCLA? lol.... sorry if its a stupid question. but my friend's brothers both got accepted there, and they did no extracurriculars except volleyball, and no volunteering either. they just had flawless AP scores... o.O and the usual straight A's.

75 page outline due for book Liberty Equality Power - A History of the American People Second Edition
I know there was a site with the outlines -- but I lost the URL.
Anyone know by chance?
It's usually a book for AP USHIST.

I'm kind of worried about taking 3 AP classes at once. I've only taken one AP class before this, which was World History and I got a 3
I'm not really a bright and motivated student like most people on soompi...
Has anyone taken these AP classes?
How were they and how were the exams?
Any tips or suggestions?
Also, has anyone taken AP Music Theory?
I heard it was the hardest AP exam out there...
My friend's taking it and I kind of made him and I'd feel bad if he does bad in that class :T
Thank you!
