I'm heading into a physician career and I know that Biology and Chemistry matters more than Physics... but still... AP Physics = easy A T.T
Feedback would help me tremendously!

AP Physics, how is it an easy "A"? From what i've heard in my highschool, its horrible. Or maybe its because of the Teacher (<-most likely)

Any study tips & study review books best suggested for AP BIOLOGY
I'm thinking -Sparknotes (the whole box-package w/ the flashcards, minireview-3-paged-booklet-thingy, and book) but any others that are good or better? as it comes to test prep & study review?

Any study tips & study review books best suggested for US HISTORY
I know its not MEMORIZING. Its UNDERSTANDING. I have a hard time understanding (and memorizing) history..so any tips?

Hmmm I'm self studying for AP Biology because our school didn't offer it. And I took an honors course so just bought myself a book and prepping for it =P. Between track, Orchestra, Piano, and a few other things... I will probably die =P

So currently, I'm having a hard time deciding on which science to take in my Junior year:

AP BIO
or
AP CHEM

Which one is better?
xP From a general sense?

I got a B+ (89ish) dry.gif in Hon Bio. I haven't taken Chem yet, but all my friends say that they didn't take it, but they got all 'A's in AP CHEM class, so I don't know which to take.

if you want to take ap chemistry, i think you should at least take calculus at the same time too.
ap bio probably 'll be easier.

why not ap physic b? rolleyes.gif

I don't know if I should take the AP exam for Gov and Econ. I barely learned anything this year. <___< In college, are they GE classes or just electives?

^ uh for UC's, I believe passing the AP Government test (not sure which score you have to get exactly) will get you out of certain GE requirements.

AP Bio is mostly conceptual concepts so if that's something you excel, at take it. AP Bio is a little harder than Chem AP, that's my last option if I don't pass my AP chem test well. I'm in AP Chem right now which is very easy because it's like 75% math [nothing past basic algebra] and 25% conceptual [my weakness] but I passed with an A first semester and now we're studying for the AP test.

So just depends if you're better at problem solving or understanding concepts and able to apply them ~ Hope that helped :]

How heavy is the courseload for AP Bio versus the courseload for AP Chem?
Thanks mama_gir1!

AP Bio is just pure memorization and like..., 1% math. So that means..., you must read a lot! smile.gif if you like to read, take Bio, for Chem.., i don't think you really have to read if you don't want to.

Personally, i feel that if you like to cram for test, Chem is easier since you don't need to memorize as much as you do for Bio

hey i'm going to be taking the APUSH test in may but i'm not in the actual ap course. so i was wondering how i should really go about studying it. i mean i bought this book (the amsco apush book) that everyone recommended. but i'm wondering if it'll be enough to jst read and memorize it. is there anything else i should be doing? is the memorization the hardest part or is there a huge emphasis on the essay? helpppppppp ><

Biology - my teacher recommends (omgsh i wrote this so many times in this thread lolls lke 3x) REA for the questions and Cliffnotes for the quick review

i still think history is about memorizing lolls =X its worked for me so far. but i guess along the way im understanding too.

and yea physics is an easy A in my school cuz my teacher grades leniently but the test is adjfadlfjk;;

ap bio is not pure pure memorization. there is some understanding involved.

its the first time ive heard chem is easier =X

in my school chem and phsyics C are notorious for being the hardest science courses.

^ AP Bio and AP Chem are the 2 notoriously hard AP classes at my school.

tears.gif I just don't know which one to take, because I've heard that AP Bio has a shaitload of memorizing to do so it won't be easy to cram and stuff, and AP Chem, well, its just hard.

Anyhow, thanks guys. happy.gif; I'll think I'll be taking AP Bio
Thanks mama_gir1!

For anyone who has taken AP Computer Science, would you recommend it? And how difficult is it on a scale of 1 to 10 (one being the easiest and ten the hardest)?
Bye, love.

Wow. For AP Bio, I feel that the 5 steps to a 5 is a really good review book. I failed all my AP Bio tests, yet after reading the 5 steps, I got a 5 on the AP exam.

It's not bad at all. Some of the stuff can get pretty confusing. Pretty much all the guys in my class just breeze through all the projects. -______-" They get is so easily while it takes me a while longer to get it.
Personally for me, it's around a 3/4.

Hm.... not..really? While you're taking the class and learning the material, you'll learn a bunch of specifics and stuff but on the test they really just want to know if you understand the important concepts, so it won't be as specific as the tests you take during the AP course. Also, AP tests are curved. A lot. XD

AP English Composition was a waste of time.

It was pretty much a review of almost everything I've
learned about in English 9 - 11 summed up into one class
all over again..

Anyways, I won't be taking the AP exam 'cause my
instructor only gave us HALF A PRACTICE TEST
(only the multiple choice section) ONCE..

FTW AM I SUPPOSE TO LEARN/PASS THE EXAM?

The majority of the class was spent ANALYZING
PHILOSOPHICAL DOCUMENTS..
lame lame lame.

I should have taken AP LIT, darn it.

I don't feel confident taking and wasting
$80-whatever dollars~

Most colleges only take a 4+ on it,
and according to my instructor only 2 seniors
last year got a 5..

Bah.

I LOVED AP PSYCHOLOGY THOUGH!
EVERYONE SHOULD TAKE AP PSYCHOLOGY~
I got a 5 last year, ahahahahaha <3

Easy as pie.
