after you have gotten accepted to a college, they ask me for my final high school transcript. i don't know if i heard my counselor wrong, but i thought the colleges (specifically in texas) do not require us to send them a copy of our final transcript UNLESS our gpa went up... O_O;;; ermm... can someone tell me what i should be doing about this? T^T;;;

also, FAFSA is seriously not working for me, and it's really making me angry, but i don't know if i should fill out the paper application because some people told me it's complicated and that filling it out online is a lot better and less hectic. what do you think?

First of all, what colleges in particular are you talking about that you have been accepted to and are requesting final transcripts from you? Usually you only send your final transcript to the one school that you decide to go to that you have sent in your deposit for. And you would obviously do that at the end of the year, when your transcript is actually complete? As for the UT schools..I'm not sure but I don't see why you wouldn't just ask your counselor again since there's a good 3/4 months till you will have to send in your final transcript?

As for FAFSA, I filled it out online and it was not any more complicated than any online app I did for college? So I'm not exactly sure what you find complicated or hard about it..so what do I think...I think that you should try and do it with help from your parents, or whoever you know that could help? Or come back here with specific questions for us to help you with it?

Solly is asking if filling out the paper version of the FAFSA is more complicated than filling out the online version since it's not working for her online.

Do you mean not working as in the FAFSA site is currently not allowing you to access your application? That happened to me once, but it eventually worked again later on that day. I filled it out online, but my mom brought home a paper application as well. It doesn't look that much different to me, but I recommend filling it out online; it just seems a bit more efficient, and it also lets you know if you accidentally left something blank or something. If you can't access your application right now and don't have a paper application with you either, you could still sort of get your information ready.

well... i've asked my counselor, but i just didn't understand. if you could rather answer my questions in a nicer tone, it would have made me feel a lot better reading your post. sorry that i am not a genius with these things. i do not need someone to be rude in answering my questions. i am seeking for help. oh yeah, and my parents do not understand anything about how these things work, so it is up to me to know all these things myself. sorry if i took your post too literally, but it made me feel so bad and low.

anyway, thank you deadgiveaway. i've tried it so many times, but the submit button will not submit and keeps saying that i did something wrong. i've checked it over and over again, but i still do not understand what the problem is. i called them, but they said that they do not how to fix it... so yeah. ack... i guess i'll just have to try again. thanks for helping me out!
