i suddenly realized that the so-called fob style really isn't characteristic enough to be categorized as a solid fashion style.
besides it's really too broad and vague. -,.-

I've said it many times but ImDa's style is so frikken amazing.
I love the stuff she sells on her site.

Next time I go to Vietnam I have to stay in Hanoi a few days and go shopping.
Then head down to Saigon lol.
The outfits are really cute.

You're right ... I tried to make a list of fob-style guidelines and it doesn't really make sense. I think the big, tunic tanks/shirts with cartoonish images will be a solid factor in fob styles, but when I thought about dresses over leggings, if I saw it on a Caucasian girl it won't give off a fob-style appeal. mellow.gif

Maybe fob style is dependent on one's perception because this:
http://www.aka-ct.com/web/product/medium/sunpuppy98_834.jpg
isn't exactly fobby to me. Put an moose near the hem of the shirt and the shorts and voila! prep.

Actually Abercrombie and Hollister isn't EVEN considered preppy in the fashion world. I was watching ANTM rolleyes.gif

according to London fashion, preppy is like the catholic school girl look with cardigans and pleated skirts. A&F and Hollister is SOOOO far from that laugh.gif

What clothing companies in the U.S. are considered fobby? My annual back to school shopping is coming up soon and I would like a list of stores to check it.

^^ definitely Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe and Heritage.

You could consider other stores and incorporate it into an outfit to give off a fob style look. like cardigans from ANYWHERE. <3 :]

^ agreed.

i put together a ganji outfit the other week. i went to a lot of diffreent stores and websites like wet seal, forever 21 and urban outfiters (=

they have alot of great peices that you can mix and match to become "FOB-ish"

Here are the new clothes from Sunny&Kusa.
Same as before, these clothes are from a store in Vietnam
called Sunny&Kusa. The store is located in Hanoi, Vietnam.
If you are planning to visit the country and are interested
in these clothes, feel free to PM me and ask for the address.
^^. The shirts are usually around 7-15 US dollars. Pants
are usually around 7-15 dollars? Accessories are around 5-15.

Haha, I feel like I'm advertising their store. x__x;;;

Yea, Hollister and Abercrombie and American Eagle. I don't really consider their styles to be "preppy" either.
Whenver I think preppy I think school uniform-ish&&polos.

If only I had any type of style at all lol. I would try my luck at putting outfits together xD

Fobby fashion isn't expensive at all, in my opinion. I went to a bunch of day and night markets when I was in Taiwan, and all the clothes were so cheap! There was this one store full of GREAT tshirts and it was buy one get one free! The first tshirt only cost about 6 US dollars too. I miss Taiwan. LOL. I bought a whole suitcase full of clothes during my trip. Including that, the clothes my mom bought, the accessories, bags, and shoes we bought, we only spent 100 US dollars I think. Yes, 100 US dollars is very inexpensive to me especially if I could buy ALL that stuff.

yeah. I was in China for a while, and some of the clothes I saw were extremely cheap, but then it wasn't all that great quality. The shops that were more expensive were slightly better, but honestly, I rather "attempt" to buy fobby clothes here.....or maybe Taiwan, Japan and Korea are different. or unless, it's psychological thing for me.
