You're right ... I tried to make a list of fob-style guidelines and it doesn't really make sense. I think the big, tunic tanks/shirts with cartoonish images will be a solid factor in fob styles, but when I thought about dresses over leggings, if I saw it on a Caucasian girl it won't give off a fob-style appeal.

Maybe fob style is dependent on one's perception because this:

Actually Abercrombie and Hollister isn't EVEN considered preppy in the fashion world. I was watching ANTM

according to London fashion, preppy is like the catholic school girl look with cardigans and pleated skirts. A&F and Hollister is SOOOO far from that

You could consider other stores and incorporate it into an outfit to give off a fob style look. like cardigans from ANYWHERE. <3 :]

Yea, Hollister and Abercrombie and American Eagle. I don't really consider their styles to be "preppy" either.
Whenver I think preppy I think school uniform-ish&&polos.

If only I had any type of style at all lol. I would try my luck at putting outfits together xD

Fobby fashion isn't expensive at all, in my opinion. I went to a bunch of day and night markets when I was in Taiwan, and all the clothes were so cheap! There was this one store full of GREAT tshirts and it was buy one get one free! The first tshirt only cost about 6 US dollars too. I miss Taiwan. LOL. I bought a whole suitcase full of clothes during my trip. Including that, the clothes my mom bought, the accessories, bags, and shoes we bought, we only spent 100 US dollars I think. Yes, 100 US dollars is very inexpensive to me especially if I could buy ALL that stuff.

yeah. I was in China for a while, and some of the clothes I saw were extremely cheap, but then it wasn't all that great quality. The shops that were more expensive were slightly better, but honestly, I rather "attempt" to buy fobby clothes here.....or maybe Taiwan, Japan and Korea are different. or unless, it's psychological thing for me.
