QUOTE(lovable93 @ Aug 19 2007, 08:56 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
okay guys, im in a crisis.

lets say that i have less than $50 dollars for back to school shopping this year because im getting my hair done with magic straight.
normally, my family doesnt spend that much money for back to school stuff, like only 200 dollars.
and i get my hair done for 150 dollars (SO CHEAP FOR US STANDARDS!!) because my mom knows someone who will do my hair and she got it like 75% off.

soo.... i need to find pretty cute shirts and i need about 2-3 new pairs of jeans too!!! is this possible??

so this would be my ideal prices....

shirts- $5-10 dollars
jeans- $10-20 dollars.

does anyone know a store that sells clothes really cheap and has cute stuff???

sorry, but its gonna be really hard to find 2-3 pairs of jeans with 50 dollars and also shirts.
if you can try and find a way to earn some money.
but you could try going to outlets or places like century 21 or tjmax. I bought some "fobby" clothing in the teenager section for around 10 dollars each.
it sounds like the main reason you dont have money is b/c of your magic straight, but thats really strange that is 150 with like 75% off b/c my piano teacher got a cut AND magic straightened for like 50 dollars. she said is was because they were haing a grand openeing so they did 50% off. so orginal price was around 100...
but then again its better than going to some crappy place that will mess your hair up...

-edit-
i just remembered H&M was having a mini sale at my mall, it has cheap but pretty clothes there as well.

Yeahh the H&M has really cheap clothes especially if it's on sale..
I like to buy my clothes at ZARA though.. I find the quality better than H&M,
and they're cheap as well.

converse & joonieballoonie: i love your spams so i have one too (^^d
ugh, the pictures aren't the same size. (-0-;
that's what you get for print screening and lazy cropping. :X

on a different note, puahaha.
lesson of the day; buy versatile clothing (^^v
*lovable93, maybe versatile clothing will help you save money?
look at all the pretty outfits that can be made by using the same pair of shoes/tights/pants
well.. the tights for me are questionable. XD

i mean, i dont need expensive stuff in the first place because my weights been dropping lower and lower
so i just need temporary pants... sort of.
i would be happy with just one or two pairs of pants
and 2-3 shirts.
hmmm..... my friend got a few shirts from a store.... i think macy's for 3 dollars.
maybe i should look in the clearance section.

lovable93: you can try ross, they have jeans/shirts for cheap. i saw a pair of jeans for 7.99 over there. not bad. plus, you really don't need to buy clothes just because school is starting. you can buy them later on in the year, there's no difference in owning a new shirt a week from when school started. it's still new tongue.gif

^suzy shier has incredibly fobby clothing in its sales rack. i saw yesterday. (^^a
ah, but i'm in canada so i don't know if they have it in the usa.

speaking of suzy shier, i saw ALOT of thick sweaters and cropped jackets (like the ones posted in the photos below) there. haha.
they can also be found at stitches, urban planet/urban behavior and bluenotes.
but i'm pretty sure the stores i mentioned are in canada. :X
'cept for urban behavior. XD;;

& yay for spams! 8D

Lik just this Saturday Macy's had a big sale and I was able 2 buy a pair of Hydraulic bermuda for $9.99 when the original price was lik $34-36! Practicalli all their crops and bermudas were on sale for $9.99.

I <3 these clothes, but I have a lot of fat ==;; and I have nowhere to get these clothes - except Pacific Mall, but everything is overpriced and I don't speak Cantonese fluently so I can't bargain nor do I have any "connections". It's so sad sad.gif.

I am finally going to HK this Christmas though! - First time since I was 2 years old, I am obviously foreign to HK so I don't know where the shopping districts are, can you guys list some places for me to go that have nice clothes and are cheap, please and thank you smile.gif. I'm scared I won't be able to fit anything 'fobs' are generally so much skinner than us CBCs >>.

And one more question, what is the price range in HKD or CAD for stores like 2% and other 'actual stores'?.

amyyboo I love that top your aunt got you, it's so cool~~~~

i've only been to HK once (it was only for about 2 days so i didn't get much shopping done XD) but i used to live in shanghai for a couple years and they have many stores that can be found in HK too.

the price range is usually around 100 - 1000 RMB (for a store like 2%)

i suggest you consider carefully when buying
don't buy items that can be found at other places for a cheaper price (lots of things are sort of overpriced)

sorry i can't give you any help about the shopping in HK ^^;
i've heard that it's really great though~a lot of options and very reasonably priced depending where you look
