i'm not sure if my post too late, but you can always use the windows movie maker in XP. u can alaways mix the songs u know.

get audacity. it might be a bit complicated and not as user friendly, but i think its better than windows video maker.

Hrm, I was going to post a thread like this...
I like Goldwave better than Audacity because it's more user-friendly. I installed Audacity and I was like "ZOMG WTH o_0" and since the project I'm using it for is due in like two days (LOL, I'm a procrastinator) I opted not to learn how to use Audacity
So...I go with Goldwave
...Windows Movie Maker should only be used for videos x_x or slideshows..
