My personal translation? ---> #%?&?$*&@#4...

My name is NPB, I live in an igloo, I eat pancakes with maple syrup, I own a beaver, I don't like Justin Bieber, I ride a female moose to work and I'm Asian

yes you made a zillion mistakes j/k XD mais la littérature française est comme les autres littératures...... je veux dire par là qu'il y a des vieux livres qui utilisent le vieux français (molière, baudelaire), il y a aussi des livres qui sont en langage soutenu parce que sinon ça fait pas sérieux du tout!!

I swear that all the people I know who came here to study or to live REALLY love the Québec language after learning our expressions... Dunno why... Funniest thing is that they wanna take it to our level, sometimes surpassing our level which makes us (Québéckers) very amused... They earn respect like that hahahaha!
lilmariah is right... It's a word equivalent to "f*ck" for English people... Even though Québéckers use the English word "f*ck" a lot (sometimes modified to become an adjective "f*cké" which is equal to English "f*cked") - The word "f*ck" is almost nothing for us... Just like a normal word... and we can even see the prime minister saying that word on TV when he speaks in Québécois (but definitely not when he speaks in English)... I mean anyone, especially Jean-Luc Mongrain (ok only Québéckers know this guy)... We consider "tabarnak" a word with WAY bigger impact than "f*ck"... But for non-Québéckers, tabarnak for us is equivalent to "f*ck" for them... Example: "Aaaah mon tabarnak!" = "Aaaaah f*cker!" - "Tabarnak!" = "F*ck!" - "C'est bon en tabarnak!" = "It's f*cking good!"
Same for other Québec swearings such as Ostie/Sti/Esti, Criss, Coliss, etc... except criss and coliss can be used as a verb or adverb... Example: "Je vais t'en colisser une" / "Je vais t'en crisser une"... It means "I'm gonna give you one" (to beat you up badly)... "C'est crissement impossible!!!" = "It's extremely impossible" (but with way more impact in the expression)
Very special... But words like that aren't only what makes us "special". There are tons of expressions that non-Québéckers would have no idea what they mean (mostly, they would misunderstand the meanings).
Other expressions...
When we say "Le gars yé hot"... It literally means "The guy is hot"... But we don't mean it as in "The guy is sexy"... We mean it as in "The guy is cool"...
I don't remember if French Paris people use the word "cave" for stupid people... Cave = Imbécile... "Je le trouve cave..." = "I find him stupid"
I know that some French people of France use the words "mongole" and "pédé"... we use that a lot too... along with "fif", "tapette", etc... (dunno if they use those ones though)
I can go on with Québec expressions lesson...
Each post I will make here, it will put:
Québec slang of the moment:
J'ai magané le char à mon voisin ben raide... = J'ai complètement démoli la voiture à mon voisin
Maganer is very similar to the French word "déformer" but more special... It's like the evil version of "déformer"...
"Ben raide" in Québécker could mean "bien bandé" (in erection), it could also mean "tout droit" (straight), but in the case used above in the sentence, it's just to add more impact... like the use of the word "completely"... ---> "Il est mort ben raide..."... "He's completely dead..." and no it doesn't mean "He's dead straight" or "He's dead on erection"...
And as you have noticed, "char" is commonly used to mean "car"...

. Eh. I'm a Poutine-Eater.
