The FCC just approved this phone and Helio is going to release it. They do not have a release date for it.

They are also going to release another Samsung phone that looks like the E900. I'm too lazy to find a link for that one, but you can just google it easily.


This phone looks solid and I like the double sliding qwerty feature. I hope it'll be released this year, at most around the price of the drift, and no or few bugs when released.

It seems like this phone is going to convert me to Helio if I hear good things about it.

Also, America's cell phone isn't there yet so until it is, we probably ain't going to see any Anycall and Cyon phones.

For the love of God, please Helio, bring some better cool phones that SK Telecom carries in Korea! No wonder your sales are dropping since you release no-more-than-average phones that your compititors already have in the market. At this rate, Helio will be out of business by 2010.

as for better phones from helio, i understand the limitations of things such as DMB broadcasting etc here in the USA (although Verizon's TV service and Mediaflo will be interesting), but i don't understand the lack of features such as say a 4 mp cameraphone....or a hard drive phone...or 3D games....at least by doing this...it would make Helio a little more cutting edge.

Well, I'm sure if Helio customers bug them and request it a lot they probably could, but since I don't know how it works in the company, we will never know why.

Who knows, maybe they will release some of those stuff in couple of years.

After looking through what was announced at 3GSM. Nothing from Samsung or LG, that is new, is coming out to the U.S., but it will in Europe. You can still buy them unlocked. Check gsmarena.com for more info.
