Its so funny when he goes on variety shows like Hei She Hui and Bai Fen Bai and everyone goes crazy after he sings because it is so good. I like "I Still Believe" too...its not too well known?

I also recommend 两只恋人. I love how his voice isn't the typical Chinese mainstream male singer voice. It so...I don't know...velvety?

Don't quote me on this as he only kind of mentioned it slightly on a show once and so I sort of half pieced together the story behind it from other sources too...

BASICALLY .... when people first hear of the title <背叛> (betrayal) they assume that it's about being betrayed by the one you love...when in fact Gary stated that if you listen to the song words it's actually about betraying oneself. As in...you really love this person but for them to be happy you have to learn to let them go which in turn is a betrayal of your own true feelings of love and wanting to be with them.

So in Gary's case...I think it's the story about his last girlfriend. He really loved her back then but her father didn't approve of them and because he hadn't debuted as a singer nor was very successful in any sort of occupation...he felt as if he had no choice but to ''betray'' his true feelings and let her go as he couldn't take care of her. =( I remember once when he was talking about this particular girlfriend...he'd said that he felt really inadequate as he couldn't bring her happiness. =(((((

That's pretty much what I gathered anyhow.... How depressing. No wonder he keeps singing Wo Yao Kuai Le. >D

I watched him on a show the other day and I thought I'd share some of the places he lived ^__^ He apparently used to be 'chubby' in school too Saw pictures hehe

When Cao Ge was one, his parents divorced so he was brought up by his grandparents until the age of nine in Malaysia. He then moved to Canada with his two older sisters, but there was little family time together because they were busy. He lived in Canada until he moved to New Zealand at fifteen years old

I like Gary. When I first listened to his "Betrayal" song on the video, I was so touched by the lyrics, the beauty of the melody, and above all his voice. I could feel all the pain and emotions that he's trying to convey and without realizing it I got teary-eyed at the end of the song. It had since become one of my favorite songs. No matter how many times I listen to it, I can never get bored or sick. He's a good musician, and a very talented singer.
