I think i suck in my opinion.... -______-;;

Today was my first driver's training lesson and that teaching was a pain in the butt! Ahhh!!! I dunno his instructions where kinda annoying i have to say. I know I know... that's how it is. But at the end of it all when i tried to park the car next to a curb he was giving me a REAL hard time! Geez.... And he made me nervous the whole time too! Geez.... It was so hard to focus on everything o____o I had never driven EVER in my life and this was my first time... And when at the end of it all when he said

"You can drive with your parents or anyone over 25 but i don't recommend it."

I'm all thinking: What? You saying I suck?

Geez... Horrible time... And at the end when i got back home my stomach was hurting like CRAZY! That's how nervous I was o______o

You guys have any advice for me?

It gets better, trust me.

Don't freak out because of one bad experience. You have to start somewhere.

The first time I ever drove, I was hecka nervous but luckily, it was only my brother and he didn't yell at me or anything, haha. We just practiced around an empty parking lot. I suggest you do the same with an older person just to get comfortable and everything. The first time I actually went on the street was with my driving instructor. I was as nervous as pooo. He made me go on the freeway even! But if you just concentrate on your driving, you should be fine. Don't be nervous! That will not help.

find a new teacher. Get a friend you know very well, someone who is like an older brother or sister to you. Drive their car, slow down. Get a feel for the controls, steeringwheel, pedals, mirrors, shift knob etc. etc.

Just take everything in, breathe and slowly start. Practice PParking the most. A lot of people mess that up bc they are so stressed/worried come test time. (atleast I did). It's also easier if you practice and take the test in a small car.

Go to an empty parking lot, practice there.

Oh I remember my instructor... if he ever said, we gotta practice in a parking lot, that was probably his best way of saying, you suck!. Luckily i just kept practicing and practicing and eventually got it and no i never had to end up in the parking lot for practice.

Now years later, I was teaching my cousin how to drive, without pedals on my side (gulp). Well on the bright side, we're not dead and the car is unharmed (phew).

i remember the first time i drove, oh man, i sucked soooo bad. i couldnt drive in a straight line. i was nervous as h311.
i suggest that you practice your driving with someone who you feel comfortable around with.

I know how that feels lol. Even though you feel shitty after a driving session, you should just forget about it. Learning to drive takes time and practice.

yeah.

my "driving instructor" aka "drill sergeant" was my brother and his friends. they would scream at me... one included, "WTF ARE YOU DOING!? DO IT RAINBOWING RIGHT!!"

needless to say, it actually helped me gain composure in the tightest situations... such as stalling in the middle of an intersection. hohoho~ ^^;

ask your parents to help out. practice at an empty parking lot and learn to know the distance of a curb (simulated by a parking spot) to your car from the driver's perspective. it helps teach you about perspectives from a bystander/other driver's standpoint. also, practice makes perfect for foot and handwork... so you should at least practice outside of class in order to perform flawlessly.

get a nicer instructor if you can.. sweatingbullets.gif

I had that kind of instructor that yells at "bad" driver all the time...I used to think I suck real bad after the lesson because of the harsh comments he made..Well at least you'll learn to remember what he said because he was mean about it..haha

It'll get better as time pass...just wish that his yelling will decrease too = ='

have your mom or dad teach you a bit before your next lesson. What my dad did was take me to an empty parking lot and an empty business park and had me break, accelerate, turn, etc.
