The only possible one to really get is the Ipod Video..which has a 30GB for $250..or if that isn't enough get a 80GB Ipod Video for $350..since the Ipod nanos are mostly 1gb, 2gb, 4gb, and 8gb..which probably not enough. Their battery life is like 20 hours..which is most likely enough for a day.

i have a 2nd generation ipod nano, and i really like it. its small, light, compact, easy to upload songs (itunes), bright screen, twenty four hour battery life, and perfect for me because i dont liketo carry bulky mp3 players.

no matter wat choice u go with, buy the warranty plan with it. believe me i work for best buy and i sell mp3 players and cell phones all day long. u already get a one year warranty thru apple but it doesnt cover much. so if u do end up washing ur ipod again, u have ur warranty plan to back u up. warranties dont cover accidental or theft but u can always say, "it all of a sudden jus stopped working!!!", people get away wit it all the time. i dunno how much u wanna spend, but since u said u wanted more GB's id say get the 30GB video ipod. 30 is enough even if u put movies on there. u get about 14 hours of music playback, but that will shorten greatly if u constantly change the song. wat kills the battery quickly is when the screen lights up, so if u play ur music, and leave it alone, then ull get ur full 14 hours. becus its a lithium-ion battery, the charge wont hold forever, meaning within a year or so u wont get 14 hours fully charged. in about 2 years, ull get ABOUT 8-10 hours. got more questions jus PM me

i just got the 4gb ipod nano green and it holds 1000 songs (which is a lot right) but if you want bigger then get the video

i've got the U2 edition ipod. 30g. I like it. The battery will last me for up to a week, depending on how much I listen to it. Was much better than the ancient mini i had.

apparently, the newer upcoming ipod videos (gen 6) will have better battery life? and of course, apple will also refresh their nano lines also (probably better battery life too)....so maybe you should just wait a few months if you can?

i think adding new features like...a bigger screen, brighter backlight, video sorta drains the battery more....so it sorta negates the better battery....

Get the video iPod. I have the 30G one & it's awesome. Just get a good case to go along with it; the iSkin.
The iSkin really helps. I've dropped it 2974927 times and due to the case, it's fine with no scratches whatsoever. :]

thanks everyone one lol. yeah i have to wait till about spring break to get a new one cause im broke and dont work and never worked before lol so my dad has to buy it for me ^^

but i think ill go with the 30 gb since everyone says i should lol the only think thats going to stink is its so big lol

ohh and my old mp3 player was 1 gb and held 1000 songs
wasnt enough space for all my music i wanted on there x_x
had to take stuff out just so i can get som me new songs in

Even though you've already made your choice, I still want to say something. -.-

Everyone I know who has an IPOD video keeps on complaining how it keeps freezing on them.. and all of them are not that old (maybe 3-4 months old?).

My cousin had to send in her ipod about 5 times. You'de thing that on the 5th time she sent it in and got a new one, they would have sent her one that worked! pfff.. It's still freezing. 0.0

So I say, be unique and get something else... or buy the best warranty they got! :]
