Couple of people here got one.

Are you going to buy the GSM or hooking up the Korean version to Verizon?

I ask because I've heard some bugs on the GSM version, but not positive. Plus, it's easier to suggest you a phone if we know what you are using.

I think it's a good phone if you like the features and etc. It is triband, meaning that it'll work good with T-mo, but not that good on Cingular.

Another phone I can suggest is the w850, that's if you don't care about the camera, or the K810 (aka K800).

There aren't many reviews on the GSM version from the states, but I think there are some for Europe. You can google 'em and check them out.

I forgot to say the people that have them here have the CDMA version I believe, or at least one of them do.

My friend has a LG Shine phone and the only complaint she has is that the sender's phone number doesn't show when someone sends a text-message.

I would wait a bit before getting the Shine since it just came out and the price is pretty high unless you really wanna pay premium to have it now. X1387 on ebay has it for ~500USD i believe

im considering selling mine. tongue2.gif

its an ok phone, i havent gotten around to playing with the GSM version yet. Im not sure about all the differences between the two, but the only REAL drawbacks to the phone? No stereospeakers = ringtones arent loud enough. The scroll is beginning to bug me, scratches are the worst, in the sun the screen is almost impossible to see, its really thin so it gets dropped and forgotten easily. Its a real neckbreaker for the time being, everybody is always like "what the hails kinda phone is that?"

Isn't the GSM one candybar or flip? I can't remember which one it is. I hate candybars. LG's Shine looks better as a slider (just my opinion). Eh...

i never liked the metallic/ metal on the shine, but then again, thats the whole point of the phone.
it would be better if it had the same glossy finish as the black chocolate

verizon is getting the lg shine flip phone.
its ugly.

The slider is the only GSM version right now.

There is also a candy bar and slip, but the slider is the best looking out of all of them.

The outside of the flip looks ok, but once opened. OMG! crazy.gif
