I just saw the MV for "Girlfriend"-- when did Avril Lavigne become like THAT?! (All pretty/girly and with back up dancers!).

It was very strange hearing the song and seeing her like that...

its really hard in hollywood not to sell yourself out inorder to make money or become popular ... so hypocritical of her tho.. playin on that punk rock band thing.. being rude to ppl like kelly clarkson.. and now she's doing the same sh1t they are doing..

I listened to this song/watched the video the other day, and honestly I'm surprised I sat through the whole thing. I think the badness is actually comparible to Paris Hilton's debut song. Which sucks because unlike Paris Hilton, Avril Lavigne has got some actual talent. She just sucks at showing it. And didn't she just get married recently? Yeah, time to stop acting like an eight-year-old.

man what is her deal. she claimed she had that whole punk rock thing going on but she just looks like a pop-princess/diva to me. her music video is annoying and she's just annoying in general. so she's changed. but she just doesn't seem like a real and true artist to me. she's just faking herself in order to be accepted. i dont really know who her true self is because of all these radical changes.

what happened to her "i hate you i hate the world i'm so punk" attitude/image? i can understand if a singer goes through different image phases but to change from that to a pop princess look are exactly the opposite. i loved her song "complicated" and "my happy ending" though i just had to add that

I kind of actually like the song. Maybe because I'm just listening to it for the second time; I know I'll get sick of it pretty soon.

I like her hair though- she's prettier, IMO, than how she was before.

I only saw a clip of the video, but it was really weird seeing her that way. Singers these days are all changing their appearances to appeal to a greater audience, so I'm not surprised she looks like that now. Soon, she'll ditch her pop-rock or w/e genre she sings and become pop.

I like the song, it's quite catchy.

( I just noticed that this video features Avril w/ three hair colors and Christina Aguilera's "Candyman" video features her w/ three different hair colors too.....o_0)

For me... this song pales in comparison to the songs from her debut album "Let Go". "SK8et Boy" was 10x better than this one. She isn't my favorite artist, but I admit some songs are catchy =P
