Ooh, this seems helpful!

Sorry if I'm repeating someone's question (I skimmed through the pages but I tend to miss things easily) but say you use one of these facials and it whitens the skin... won't your face be whiter than your body, then?

thats why theres some products like papaya whitening lotion, body scrubs, and other whitening products for the body to use so it'll even it out.

anyways, i was looking through wikipedia and i think the flour that they use is BLEACHED FLOUR:

QUOTE
Bleached flour: This is a flour that was subjected to flour bleaching agents for health purposes, to whiten it (freshly milled flour is yellowish), and to give it more gluten-producing potential. Oxidizing agents are usually employed, most commonly organic peroxides like acetone peroxide or benzoyl peroxide, nitrogen dioxide, or chlorine. A similar effect can be achieved by letting the flour slowly oxidize with oxygen in the air ("natural aging") for approximately 10 days; however, this process is more expensive due to the time required. [1]

but i may be wrong. I think with that it helps fight off acne and evens out the skintone *shrugs*

GUYS! As a warning, it's not good to do facials too often especially if you have sensitive skin. Definitely don't do it everyday. Once or twice every week is sufficient.

If you do have sensitive skin, then be sure to test the facials on the inner patch of your elbow. If there are no reactions then you can proceed.

Also, when doing facials, especially those that "tightens" (basically anything that will dry harden) make sure that you don't talk during them and keep your facial expression in a slight smile because otherwise you might make wrinkles.

AND NEVER EVER spread the facials onto your eyelids or the area around your mouth. Those two areas are really sensitive and you can harm them badly.

Just some facial 101s. Using facials correctly is just as important as having good ingredients

And also, thanks for providing the translations. I will go try one today I think biggrin.gif

^^ Thanks for letting me know!

I love the carrot facial one! when I did it for three days in a row, I feel like it stopped my acne from growing. I used regular flour I saw at the chinese market. In the process, I also drank green tea.

Thank you for starting this thread! I always come back here.
