canon's also great, but sony wins out in the slim/video categories plus style to boot =]

To me..the higher the MP(mega pixels) isn't always better

sony's t series are slim...canon's sd series has good pic quality...get either, but canon sd630 has a 3 inch screen [that's huge]...and for the video quality, look if it can capture the videos at 60 fps [frames per second] and the memory solely depends on the memory card [1 gb is suffice]

Canon SD1000
It's seriously smaller than a deck of cards and so cute (3.4" tall, 2.1" wide, and 0.8" thick)! I don't know about image quality since I saw it last week at Best Buys. I think it's around $300. But like everyone says, if you want a slim design with a huge screen, sony is your best bet, but I don't think their image quality is that great (I owned a sony p-10 for four years. Design was gorgeous, but pictures were ok. Good if you know how to customize settings)

Go with Canon or Nikon. Sony products are overpriced due to the brand, and the quality aren't even as good as Nikon or Canon.

I have a Nikon and it is not that good, low ISO, blurry pictures in low light, even though it is a 6 MP camera. For slim and good pics, go with Canon ELPH, Casio Exilim, Sony has nice ones too.
Check out the following site for camera quality comparisons.

Oh and storing lots of pictures depends on your memory card size. Typically Sony uses memory sticks which are more expensive, I think Fuji uses xD which is less, the rest use CompactFlash (CF), or Secure Digital (SD), which are least expensive.
