Well, my hair looks fine from distance... but if u sit next to me (or whatever that involves close proximity to me), you'll see how bad it is.

I don't know what problem this is called... dried hair? I'm not an expert at hair stuff (only a few days ago did I find out what thinning and layering are)
My hair honestly looks like pubes from close distance. =[

anyone else have the same problem?
how do you fix those hairtips?

edit: I never dyed my hair, bleached or anything like that. It may look white-ish b/c of the light. I had to put it close to my hair otherwise you guys wouldnt be able to see what my hair looks like because it's black. Also, the only thing I do that might have damaged my hair is straightening it everyday. I also got a straight perm once a while ago and also I never blow dry my hair.

whoa you're hair does look incred dry. kinda creepy lol. just don't blow dry or straighten too much i guess. you can also get this hair deep conditioning done at the salon and then your hair will be soft and nice. i'm not sure if it lasts thou.

Do you blowdry your hair? Or straighten? Too much heat on hair usually results in dried hair.

Whoa that's dry. Well if i had hair that damaged i'd get a trim or cut my hair short, use deep conditioners (pantene pro-v is the heaviest) wear a hat and never blow dry/straighten/color/highlight/perm until it grows out beautifully again smile.gif

i never blow dry my hair... but i use ceramic straightener every morning, but i dont use it on high heat.

trimming my hair... as in cutting it short?

is there a way to make my hairtips look nice? or theres no way except to cut them?

ohmy.gif even though you don't use high heat, straightening your hair everyday is bad :-/

do you apply heat-protector sprays before you straightening your hair? If not, YOU SHOULD HAVE! It protects your hair from getting brittle like that.

Apply hot oil on your hair once a week, it restores moisture to stressed, dry or damaged hair

Also this one, for intense deep conditioning, once a month.

my hair is definitely not at that condition but since i blow dry almost every day and dye about every 6-8 weeks i think it'll get there eventually =x
i'm gonna take bunny's advice and get those two products.

two words: DEEP CONDITIONER. Get like Garnier Fructis 3-minute mask or the one from Aussie. My hair use to be like that. I still feel like it's like that at times but "eh", like my coworker says to me "you don't have Asian hair". lol. But yea, you might want to try hot oil treatments and hair masks.

um, you give me all these products and terms that I don't really understand. lol. remember, I'm a guy, and we guys like things straight and simple. I know, sometimes that's frustrating. So... WHAT do I do? like literally... buy this, do this with that thing once or twice every bla bla. don't do this and that. please tell me. tongue.gif

and also, if i do that, will it heal or it stays like that because it's dead? do i have to cut it or can i heal it?

and also, my hair isnt naturally straight (hence the straightener), but let's say i do all these things that youre going to tell me to heal my hair, wouldnt my hair look like my normal original hair? can i not have a healthy straight hair everyday then? (b/c straightening it everyday is bad...)

lmao the way you compared your hair to pubs made me laugh >.<. WOOO girl yo hair is DRY. lol do you straighten it alot and everyday? If so try that hot oil stuff someone said and try not to straighten it too much. OHH i read somewhere that if you put conditioner in your hair and leave it in w/o washing for 15 minutes under a shower cap, it'll make not dry. happy.gif

Your hair only temporarily is back to the healthy state, that's why you have to use those oils weekly or once every 2 weeks to make it stronger and to prevent your hair from getting more damaged.
Also, use intense conditioner when you wash your hair.
you can get straight perm, it lasts a few months, so it should be not as damaging as straightening it everyday.

yes i do. but for example, u know how on some shampoo it says 'use daily', u shouldnt use shampoo daily, right? things like that... so im not sure. i mean, sure ill follow the instructions for individual items, but can u please tell me what i gotta do? (i guess u dont have to tell me how to use certain things) just like "buy these things..." maybe certain brands...? if i cant find that, what are the alternatives?

also, what is an intense conditioner? are they different than the normal shampoo and conditioner that i use? (i use pantene shampoo and conditioner... 2 different things, not 1 bottle shampoo and conditioner) for now, should i use my conditioner everyday? with shampoo too? (according to the instruction on the bottle... yes... but should i?)

and also, is it bad to use hairsprays on your hair? (to style it, spike it up or whatever u can do with it) i've never tried, but im just wondering...

if u use pantene pro v, they also have a deep conditioner, it's not the same as their regular conditioners, it's a more condensed form. if however, you want a quick fix, you can cut your hair to take out all the dry ends and then take care of your new growing hair with conditioning products. it looks like you bleached your hair too? that also causes major dryness.

i'm not sure if ur korean, but if u are i have the same sorta type of hair. the gop seul gop seul muh ree? usually i get magic straight to take care of this, i'm sure for guys they can do straight perms. ask your hair dresser.
Alice asked the Cheshire Cat `Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?'
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.

Trim your ends ASAP..just a snip to get your split ends all gone.
Deep conditioning! Try changing your conditioner. All the treatments everyone above me recommended are great.

If you really really don't know what we're talking about..go to a local salon and ask. They usually have great stuff.
P.S If your on a low budget..you might not want to buy the stuff they offer you

And when you straighten put some sort of protecting balm on it or something like that.

is it genetics? i have a few strands like that, but it's not
really noticeable. but it's because
my dad has really wavy hair, but my mom has straight hair.
when my hair's dried.. it gets more zigzag-y?

but try using pantene pro v deep conditioner
& loreal hot straight before your blow dry/straighten your hair.
