If you hit and run its a felony. Felony=jail time. My friend hit a car long ago while I was in the car and he decided to run. He ended up crashing the car almost killing me and had some jail time.

Hit and run is illegal, as well as immoral. I hope you do the right thing if you did indeed hit the car and took off.
