Grazing is better for you than gorging.
let it suffice to say that the body
interprets missed meals as starvation. Let’s suppose you eat lunch at 12:00 noon and
dinner at 7:00 pm. If you skip breakfast the next day, that’s 17 hours without food. This
sends an unmistakable signal to your body that you are starving, even if your lunch and
dinner are large meals.
Your goal should be to eat approximately every three hours. Establish scheduled
meal times and stick to them. Regularity in your eating habits is critical.
Most people are totally obsessed with scale weight. The problem with the scale is that it doesn’t tell you how much of your weight is fat and how much is muscle. Another
problem is that scale weight can fluctuate wildly on a daily basis based on your water
levels. This can blur the real picture.

I concur.
My personal trainer told me to aim for 6-8 meals a day. Small portions. Increases your metabolism and lowers your appetite significantly.
In my hectic college schedule, I rarely find the time to eat. If I'm lucky I get to eat breakfast at 9am, lunch at 3pm, then dinner at 8pm.
In between would be small snacks like apples or granola bars.

I agree about this...as long as you don't eat large portion in that every-3hr-meal, then that should work. Besides, eating regularly helps metabolism, which is the key why some people gain weight faster than others.
